Itinerary
- Day 1
Aswan
Your Egyptology guide picks you up from your Aswan hotel, airport, or train station to start exploring the city. You'll head to the High Dam first, then move on to the granite quarries where you can see the unfinished Obelisk. After that, you'll take a motorboat across to Nubian Village on Soheil Island, where you'll visit with a local family and get a real sense of how people live there.

Abu Simbel
An early pickup happens at 4:00 to 4:30 am for the 280-kilometer drive through the Egyptian desert to Abu Simbel. You'll catch the sunrise over the mountains during the journey, then spend time at the Great Temple of Ramses II and Temple of Hathor with your guide walking you through their history and how they were relocated for UNESCO preservation. There's a small visitor's center to check out before you drive back to Aswan and catch the evening train to Luxor.

Luxor West Bank and East Bank
After breakfast, your guide picks you up at 8:00 am for the 35 to 40 minute drive to the West Bank. You'll explore the Valley of the Kings with visits to three selected tombs, see Hatshepsut Temple, and check out the Colossi of Memnon. Then you'll cross over to the east bank to walk through Karnak Temple and the avenue of sphinxes, finishing up at Luxor Temple before heading back to your hotel.
