Itinerary
- Day 1
Aswan
You'll arrive in Aswan where a local representative meets you for your transfer. From there, head to the Temple of Philae, which sits on its own island and was moved stone by stone to save it from flooding when the Nile waters rose. The High Dam, finished in 1970, is your next stop and it's worth seeing since it controls the river and generates power for the region. Later in the afternoon, you'll board your luxury Dahabiya and get settled. By evening, wander through Aswan's souq where you can pick up souvenirs and get a feel for the local market scene.

Gebel Silsilah
Your Dahabiya cruises to Kom Ombo where you'll walk through a temple built for two gods: Sobek the crocodile and Haroeris. The temple has a neat symmetrical layout with matching entrances on either side. After that, sail to Gebel Silsilah, which sits at the river's narrowest stretch between two mountain ranges. Few large cruise ships can dock here, so it feels more exclusive. You'll see the temple of Horemheb and old sandstone quarries where workers cut blocks centuries ago. Then return to your boat for the evening.

It stretches over 140 meters and covers roughly 7000 square meters, so plan time to walk through its various chambers and halls. The craftsmanship is really impressive when you see it up close. Later, your Dahabiya continues to Esna, where you'll spend your final evening onboard before heading to Luxor.
