Aswan to Abu Simbel
Your pickup happens at 4:30 am from your Aswan hotel, starting a 280km drive through the Egyptian desert toward Abu Simbel. The journey takes about 3 to 4 hours, and you'll catch the sunrise breaking over the mountains along the way. Once you arrive, your Egyptologist guide walks you through the UNESCO relocation project and shares details about the temples' history. You'll have time to wander through the Great Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Hathor at your own pace, then stop by the small visitor's center.
