Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Thanjavur
You'll arrive at Thanjavur or Tiruchirappalli Airport and get transferred to your hotel in Thanjavur. Once you're settled in, head to the Brihadeeswarar Temple in the afternoon to see the main structure and walk around the complex. Later in the evening, wander through local markets to get a feel for the area and try some traditional Tamil food before heading back to rest.

Gangaikonda Cholapuram
After breakfast at your hotel, travel to Gangaikonda Cholapuram to check out the Gangaikonda Cholisvaram Temple. You'll grab lunch at a nearby local restaurant, then spend the afternoon at the Rajarajesvaram Museum learning about Chola dynasty history and artifacts. From there, it's back to Thanjavur for the night.

Before evening ends, catch a traditional dance performance at a local cultural center, then return to your hotel in Thanjavur.
