Itinerary
- Day 1
Luxor to Aswan
Your guide picks you up from your Luxor hotel or Nile cruise early and you'll drive south to Aswan, which takes around 4 hours. Along the way you'll pass through local villages and get some nice views of the Nile. Once in Aswan, you check out the High Dam first. Then you take a motorboat to see the Greco-Roman Temple of Isis, which sits on the water. After that, you head to the granite quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk, where you can walk around and understand why the ancient builders abandoned it. Later in the afternoon, you take a scenic motorboat ride out to Nubian Village on Soheil Island. There you'll visit with local families, learn about how they live and their traditions, then head back to Luxor by evening.
