- Day 1
Belgrade
You'll land at Nikola Tesla airport in Belgrade and get picked up by your driver for the ride to your hotel. On the way in, you'll see New Belgrade's Socialist-era buildings and the modern Usce Tower. Once you're checked in, the evening's free to wander around Skadarlija on your own. The neighborhood has cobbled streets from the 19th century, traditional taverns, and you'll hear live folk music playing around the area.

Belgrade
Your guide leads you through Belgrade starting with Knez Mihailova Street, which has shops and historic buildings lining both sides. You'll stop at the city's oldest tavern to try traditional coffee and rakija while learning how sljivovica plum brandy is made using traditional methods protected by UNESCO. Then you're heading to Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park for views where the Sava and Danube meet. After crossing Branko's Bridge into New Belgrade, you'll see Brutalist architecture and the Belgrade Waterfront, plus the Ada Bridge and Dedinje area. The Museum of Yugoslavia comes next, then the Temple of Saint Sava with its impressive mosaics. You'll finish in Republic Square before an evening sunset cruise on the rivers.

Sremski Karlovci - Novi Sad to Belgrade
Today takes you north to Vojvodina and the wine region of Fruska Gora National Park, an area known for its 17 Orthodox monasteries. You'll visit Krusedol Monastery and speak with monks there, then head to Sremski Karlovci, a Baroque town with the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, Patriarchal Court, and Serbia's first secondary school. The wine tasting focuses on Serbian wines including Bermet, which was historically served on the Titanic. After that, you're moving to Novi Sad, which hosted EXIT music festival and was the 2021 European Capital of Culture. You'll see City Hall, check out Mileva Einstein's former home, tour the historic synagogue, and visit Petrovaradin Fortress for Danube views. You'll get back to Belgrade in time for the evening off.

Belgrade to Sumadija Region to Zlatibor
Heading south from Belgrade to Oplenac, where you'll see a royal mausoleum and visit wineries connected to Serbian royalty. From there, the Sumadija region (sometimes called Serbian Tuscany) has a century-old winery where you'll taste three wines made the traditional way while learning about the Royal Karadjordjevic dynasty's role in Serbian winemaking. You'll see the wine cellar craftsmanship before traveling to Zlatibor mountain for a two-night stay at Serbia's first royal resort. After checking in, explore the town center at your own pace, then gather for dinner with traditional Serbian dishes like ajvar, kajmak, proja, and veal or fresh fish.

Zlatibor
Starting with breakfast, you're taking the Gold Gondola, the world's longest panoramic lift, which runs nine kilometers from Zlatibor's center up to Tornik peak. The ride shows you rolling meadows, Ribnicko Lake, and landscapes spreading hundreds of kilometers across western Serbia. Next, Sirogojno's Old Village museum displays traditional rural homes including family houses, milk houses, and bread-making spaces. You'll see the famous Sirogojno sweaters made from raw wool. Your final stop is Stopica Cave, a 2,000-meter river cave carved by the Trnava stream with sections called the Light Hall, Dark Hall, and Great Hall featuring cascading pools. The evening's yours to explore more, rest, or have dinner at a traditional restaurant.

Zlatibor to Belgrade
After breakfast, you're leaving Zlatibor and traveling through Mokra Gora to ride the Sargan Eight Railway, a retro narrow-gauge train winding through mountains on its distinctive figure-eight route. The heritage railway goes through tunnels and across viaducts, showing off the region's railway history from the historic Belgrade-Sarajevo line. Next comes Drvengrad, the traditional wooden village built by film director Emir Kusturica. The village has the Mecavnik Hotel, galleries, shops, a cinema, and a church, and it's hosted the Kustendorf Film and Music Festival since 2008 with celebrity visitors like Johnny Depp and Monica Bellucci. You'll have time for lunch before returning to Belgrade with the rest of the day free to explore, eat out, or relax.
