- Maria· April 26th, 2025Choose Balkan was very organized and responsive to all requests, working with them made me more comfortable to make this booking. The tour itself was wonderful. It ended up being a solo tour where the guide, Ilir, made the experience highly personalized and adapted to my preferences. Ilir is extremely knowledgeable about Albanian culture and history and he shared many stories which enhanced the tour significantly. He's a great guide and you'd be lucky to have him! I would say this is not an intense hiking tour, yes there are two hikes, but it's more of a cultural/historical and shorter hike. for avid hikers who are seeking a an extended day or half day of hiking, this is maybe not the right fit.Show more

Our brilliant tour guide made the experience special, sharing detailed information about each site and fascinating insights into the country. He was also wonderfully patient and welcoming. Albania is a stunning country, and visiting in spring was perfect—wildflowers were blooming everywhere, adding even more beauty to the landscape. The tour company and our guide were also very accommodating and inclusive of one of our group members with Autism. Highly recommended!Show more

I felt that I was traveling with a friend, Oltion, my guide, explained to me a lot of things about history, nature and showed me the better landscape to do pics in south Albania. Oltion managed the tour and it was not the classic tour that gave you 10 min here, 20 min there.... That's why I felt that I was traveling with a friend. Also, Choose Balkans allowed me to add Gjirokaster to have a diverse tour, the historical part with gjirokaster; the nature in the blue eye; the European Caribbean in Ksamil and a lovely place in Saranda.Show more
