    Arrival in Bangkok

    Your private driver meets you at Bangkok airport and takes you to your hotel in the city center. From there, the day is open for you to do as you like, whether that's grabbing lunch and walking around the neighborhood or just resting after your flight.

  2. Day 2

    Bangkok

    Your guide picks you up to see Bangkok's main temples and palaces. The Grand Palace comes first, where you'll find the Temple of the Emerald Buddha inside the complex. After that, you head to Wat Pho to see the large Reclining Buddha. Both places have striking architecture and are central to understanding the city.

  3. Day 3

    Ayutthaya - Bangkok

    Starting early, you drive to Bang-Pa-In to visit the Summer Palace, which served as a royal retreat. Lunch happens at a local restaurant, then you explore Ayutthaya's historical temples including Wat Phra Si Sanphet and Wat Phra Mahathat. A tuk tuk ride takes you around to see temple ruins and the old Grand Royal Palace. You're back in Bangkok by afternoon.

    Bangkok to Chiang Mai

    After breakfast at your hotel, you have some free time before your driver comes to pick you up for the airport. The flight to Chiang Mai takes you north, and once you land, another transfer brings you to your hotel where you can settle in for the night.

    Chiang Rai (Chiang Mai base)

    Your guide picks you up at 7:00 AM for a full day exploring Chiang Rai's temples. You'll see the White Temple with its intricate white design, then the Blue Temple known for its vibrant blue interior. The Maekhachan Hot Spring and Black House museum round out the sites. Lunch is provided, and you return by 5:00 PM.

    Around 8:00-8:30 AM, your driver picks you up for a drive to Doi Inthanon, Thailand's highest peak. You stop at Wachiratharn Waterfall, visit the King and Queen Chedi monuments for park views, and take a nature walk through high-altitude plants. Time with Karen and Hmong hill tribe villages and markets follows. Thai lunch is included, and you're back in Chiang Mai by 5:00 PM.

    This day is yours to relax and explore Chiang Mai on your own pace. If you want something more active, you can book an optional half-day elephant sanctuary tour where you get hands-on time with the animals and try traditional activities. Lunch is part of that option.

  8. Day 8

    Chiang Mai to Hanoi

    After breakfast at your hotel, you have free time before your driver arrives for the transfer to Chiang Mai airport. You fly to Hanoi, and when you land, your new driver meets you and brings you to your hotel for the rest of the evening.

  9. Day 9

    Ninh Binh - Hanoi

    Your guide picks you up for a day trip to Ninh Binh, about 120 km away. You visit Hoa Lu, Vietnam's ancient capital, to see well-preserved 17th century temples. A buffet lunch with local food comes next. Then you take a scenic 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride through Tam Coc, sometimes called 'Halong Bay on land,' followed by a 45-minute bike ride around the village. You're back in Hanoi around 6:30 PM.

Once aboard, you eat lunch while sailing past limestone islets. The afternoon offers swimming, kayaking, cave exploration, or just relaxing on deck. You watch the sunset before dinner and sleep on the boat.

    Mekong Delta (Ho Chi Minh base)

    Your pickup happens at 7:20 AM heading to My Tho for a Mekong Delta tour. You board a sampan to cruise around the Four Islands and visit Unicorn Island to walk through countryside, see orchards, and taste tropical fruit. A hand-rowed sampan takes you down Thoi Son canal where you see family businesses and a honey farm, with workshops for honey tea and coconut candy. Lunch is at a local restaurant, then you cycle around Tan Thach village to meet people or relax in a hammock.

    Your driver picks you up to explore Bali's culture and nature. You start with the Barong Dance performance, then visit Batuan Temple, a traditional Hindu temple. Next is a Coffee and Spices Plantation where you taste organic spices and Luwak coffee. A short hike through the rice terraces of Tegallalang comes after that. The day ends at Tanah Lot Temple to catch one of Bali's iconic sunsets.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before December 13th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after December 13th, 2025, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Responsible Asia. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Responsible Asia will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
