Varanasi

By evening, you'll take a boat trip on the Ganges River to see the Ganga Aarti, a nighttime ceremony that happens along the water. After that, spend some time walking through the old town's narrow streets where you can browse shops and try food from local vendors.

Varanasi
This is a full day exploring Varanasi's main attractions. Start in the morning at Sarnath, the site where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after reaching enlightenment. From there, you'll visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory, an 18th-century structure that was built to track the movements of celestial bodies. Next comes Ramnagar Fort, a large palace complex sitting on the banks of the Ganges River. Wrap up your day at the Bharat Mata Temple, which has an impressive marble relief map of India.
