Halifax Arrival
You'll arrive in Halifax at whatever time your flight comes in. Since arrival times vary throughout the day, there's nothing scheduled today. Use this time to get settled at your hotel, maybe grab a bite, and get ready to start exploring the Maritimes tomorrow.
- Day 2
Halifax
This morning you're heading to Peggy's Cove to see the iconic lighthouse on the Atlantic coast with its views out over the water. After spending time there, you'll drive back to Halifax for a guided tour of the downtown area. The guide will walk you through the waterfront, Public Gardens, Spring Garden Road, and the Citadel. It's a good way to get oriented to the city.

Lunenburg - Halifax
You'll start by checking out Mahone Bay, a small fishing village, then follow the Lighthouse Route down to Lunenburg. There you can choose either the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic or take a walking tour with a local guide to learn about the town's architecture. Later you'll head back to Halifax with the evening free to do whatever you want.

Canso Causeway - Cape Breton Island
Begin at the Millbrook Cultural and Heritage Centre to learn about Mi'kmaq history and Glooscap legends. Then you'll cross the Canso Causeway to Cape Breton Island and visit the Gaelic College, where you'll see kilts being made, pick up some Gaelic phrases, and join in a traditional milling frolic with singing and tapping. Dinner tonight features local flavors.

Cape Breton Island
Today is all about the Cabot Trail and Cape Breton's rugged coastline. You'll stop at St. Peter's Church in Cheticamp, have a picnic lunch in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, and drive through small fishing communities like Neil's Harbour. The ocean views here are hard to beat with the Atlantic stretching out the whole way.

Prince Edward Island
You'll explore the Alexander Graham Bell Museum and see the inventions on display. After that, it's a short ferry ride over to Prince Edward Island. You'll get into Charlottetown with the rest of the day to walk around and get a feel for the city on your own terms.

Cavendish
Today's focused on Prince Edward Island's rolling green landscapes. You'll head to Cavendish to see the beaches at Prince Edward Island National Park, then visit the Anne of Green Gables Museum. A local farmer will show you around and talk about potato farming. This evening there's a lobster supper with PEI mussels, and you'll learn how to crack and eat lobster properly.

Hopewell Rocks - Saint John
You're leaving Prince Edward Island via the Confederation Bridge and driving along the shoreline to Hopewell Rocks in New Brunswick. These rock formations shaped like flowerpots stand 40 feet high at low tide, then almost completely disappear as the tide comes in. After exploring there, you'll settle in at your waterfront hotel in Saint John for two nights.

Saint John
Early morning takes you out on the Fundy Trail with long views of the coastline. You'll try local dulse and fiddleheads paired with traditional fiddle music. Lunch is seafood at a restaurant overlooking the Bay of Fundy, and on the way back you'll see St. Martin's covered bridges. The afternoon is free in Saint John, and there's an optional walking food tour if you're interested.

A ferry takes you back to Nova Scotia with a stop at the Grand-Pré National Historic Site, where you can learn about the complex history of the Acadian people. From there, you'll head to Halifax with free time before a farewell dinner tonight celebrating the end of your Maritime trip.
