Algiers
You'll land at Algiers airport where your guide meets you for a private transfer to the hotel. After settling in, you can explore the city on your own if you arrive with time to spare. Later in the day, head to the Arabic-style Notre Dame d'Afrique mosque and check out the Musée National du Bardo museum to see ancient Roman and Phoenician artifacts.

- Day 2
Algiers - Tipaza - Annaba
Travel to Tipaza to see well-preserved Roman ruins including an old colosseum, ancient graves, and bathhouses from over 1200 years ago. On the way, you'll stop at the royal mausoleum of Mauritania, a UNESCO Heritage site and the largest surviving Roman tomb in North Africa. From there, you'll fly to Annaba where your guide transfers you to your hotel.

Annaba - Constantine
After breakfast, visit the ancient Phoenician ruins at Hippo dating back to the 12th century. Then head to St. Augustin Basilica where a bone of St. Augustine is preserved. In the late afternoon, travel to Constantine and check into your hotel for the evening.

Constantine
Start the day at the Roman Site of Tiddis, an impressive archaeological location. Return to Constantine for a guided city tour that includes the Cirta Museum, the famous suspension bridges, the Kasbah, and the Palace of Ahmed Bey, giving you a full picture of Constantine's history and buildings.

Constantine - Timgad - Lambaesis - Batna
After breakfast, drive about 1.5 hours to see the ancient Numidian tomb at Madghacen. Then continue for about 50 minutes to Timgad, where you'll learn about ancient Roman city planning and military structures. Next, you'll visit Lambaesis, a 3rd century Roman legion campsite, where you'll explore ancient structures and see artifacts in the village museum before heading to Batna.

Batna - Djemila - Setif
Head to the UNESCO site of Djemila, one of the most striking Roman ruins in the region and a religious center in Algeria. Explore the remarkable ancient architecture and remains. After that, travel to Setif to visit the Museum of Archaeology, where you can see more artifacts and learn about local history before checking into your hotel.
