Passau
You'll arrive in Passau and board the AMADEUS river cruise ship starting at 16:00. After getting settled into your luxury stateroom, you'll meet the crew over a welcome cocktail and then sit down for a festive welcome dinner to kick things off.

Passau to Linz
The ship departs Passau at 10:30, and you can choose between a walk through Passau itself or head out for a full-day trip to Salzburg to check out its Advent market. You'll arrive in Linz by 17:30, giving you time to wander around the Christmas market before the ship leaves at 20:00.

Wachau Valley Stopover
You'll wake early when the ship arrives in Emmersdorf at 06:00. Then you pick between visiting Melk Abbey, which is over 900 years old, or Göttweig Abbey. After returning to the ship, there's Christmas tree decorating and carols, followed by a special Christmas dinner on board. If you're interested, you can also attend Christmas mass in Dürnstein later before heading to Vienna overnight.

Vienna
You'll arrive in Vienna at 08:00 after the overnight journey from Dürnstein. The morning includes a city tour of Austria's capital, and then in the afternoon you'll head to Schönbrunn Palace where there's a Christmas market with decorated stalls, punch, and gingerbread to explore.

Bratislava
The ship reaches Bratislava at 08:00 in the morning, so you'll have time to explore Slovakia's capital. A coach tour takes you to Castle Hill for views across the entire city, and then you'll return to the ship for lunch. Later that evening, there's an elegant Captain's Gala Dinner on board.

You'll spend the morning relaxing on board and taking in the winter landscape from the ship's amenities. The ship arrives in Linz, Austria's third largest city, at 13:30. From there, you can explore the old town on your own or join a guided city tour in the afternoon before the ship heads back toward Passau in the evening.
