You'll arrive in Passau and board the AMADEUS Riva for your Christmas cruise along the Danube. After embarkation starts at 16:00, there's a welcome cocktail with the crew and then a festive welcome dinner to kick off your journey.

Passau to Linz
Following breakfast, you can take a guided walk around Passau or join an optional full-day trip to Salzburg for the Advent market. The ship departs at 10:30 and reaches Linz by 17:30. Later in the evening, head out to explore Linz's Christmas market.

Melk Abbey and Durnstein
You'll arrive early at Melk/Emmersdorf at 06:00. There's time to visit either the 900-year-old Melk Abbey or Göttweig Abbey. Back on board, you'll help decorate the ship's Christmas tree and enjoy carols before a magical Christmas dinner. If you're interested, there's optional Christmas Mass in Durnstein before the ship heads to Vienna late that night.

Vienna
The ship leaves Durnstein at 02:00 and arrives in Vienna at 08:00, giving you Christmas Day in the city. A morning tour covers the main sights, then in the afternoon you'll head to Schönbrunn Palace where there's a Christmas market with decorated stalls and festive food and drinks.

Vienna to Bratislava
The ship arrives in Bratislava at 08:00. Spend the morning on a guided coach tour exploring Slovakia's capital and taking in panoramic views from Castle Hill. After lunch back on the ship, you'll continue upriver. The evening features an elegant Captain's Gala Dinner.

This morning you can relax on board and enjoy the winter landscape from the ship's facilities. By midday you'll arrive in Linz. You can either wander around Austria's third largest city on your own or join an optional guided tour in the afternoon. The ship departs in the evening heading back toward Passau.

Passau
You'll be back in Passau by 08:00. After a hearty breakfast, disembarkation begins. The entire AMADEUS crew wishes you safe travels home and all the best for the coming New Year.
