  1. Day 1

    Windhoek to Keetmanshoop

    Your Namibian adventure starts in Windhoek where you'll meet the crew. From there, you're heading south through the Kalahari Desert toward Keetmanshoop. Once you arrive, spend the afternoon walking through Quiver Tree Forest and hanging around to catch the desert sunset with these distinctive trees all around you.

  2. Day 2

    Keetmanshoop

    This morning takes you to The Giants Playground, where you'll see massive dolerite boulders stacked on top of each other in fascinating ways. The rock formations create a series of mazes that are worth walking through and checking out.

  3. Day 3

    Fish River Canyon to Luderitz

    Get an early start for the drive to Fish River Canyon's rim. Watch the morning light come through the canyon, then take a gentle walk along the edge to loosen up. After that, you're heading west to the harbour town of Luderitz.

  4. Day 4

    Luderitz to Namib Desert

    This is one of the longer driving days as you push deeper into the Namib Desert toward the dune fields. You'll check out Kolmanskop, a ghost town where the desert has slowly taken back an old abandoned mining operation. Long dusty roads and sparse farmland follow, and you'll sleep at the edge of the dune fields.

  5. Day 5

    Namib-Naukluft National Park

    Start early for your trip into Namib-Naukluft National Park. Climb Dune 45 to see the desert colours change, grab a hearty breakfast, then take a 4x4 over to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei pans. You'll spend the night under the stars after a full day in this rough landscape.

    Namib Desert to Swakopmund

    Leaving the Namib behind, you're heading toward the Atlantic coast. Stop to mark where you cross the Tropic of Capricorn, then drive through the Lunar Landscape with photo stops at different viewpoints. See the Welwitchia plant that's found only in Namibia, then arrive in Swakopmund for dinner at a local spot.

  8. Day 8

    Khorixas

    From the coast, you're heading inland to Khorixas. There you'll walk through Twyfelfontein Rock Engravings, a place where people have lived for 6000 years. The Khoi San people created 2500 rock paintings here through shamanist rituals and spiritual practices. You'll also see the Petrified Forest, where prehistoric fossilized tree trunks sit as a national monument.

    Etosha National Park

    After breakfast, you're driving to Etosha National Park, which ranks among Africa's top game reserves. The name means 'great white area' from the large dried pan in the middle. Spend the afternoon exploring in the Nomad Truck and looking for wildlife.

    Etosha National Park

    Waterberg Plateau National Park

    Leaving Etosha, you're heading to The Waterberg Plateau National Park. This sandstone table-top mountain rises 200 meters above the surrounding bushveld and has over 25 game species plus at least 200 bird species. In the afternoon, you'll hike with your guide across the plateau and the area around it.

  12. Day 12

    Windhoek

    Your tour wraps up today after breakfast. You'll head back to Windhoek for a short walk through the city centre to see some of its known landmarks. The tour ends here, though if you're staying another night, Joe's Beerhouse is there for those wanting to check it out.

    I'm confused by these options. Per the itinerary and lodging options listed, all lodging is in rooms at lodges or safari camps. So, why is it asking me to choose between a room and a tent? (I'm a solo traveler)

      Both the camping and accommodated tour is run on the same truck. You will see on the dossier attached where the accommodated people are in rooms and where campers is camping. Facilities: Accommodated: Two per room with en-suite bathrooms. Camping: Campsite with Shared Ablutions. We still have space on the 9th of April departure, this tour is not confirmed yet however we require a minimum of 4 clients to confirm a departure but if you flexible the 30th of April tour we already have 4 clients confirmed on.

    • For any tour departing before December 30th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after December 30th, 2025, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Nomad Africa Adventure Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Nomad Africa Adventure Tours will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
