Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakesh to Dades Gorge
You'll start early from your Marrakesh hotel and head across the High Atlas Mountains through the Tichka pass. The route takes you to the ruined Telouet Kasbah, where you can walk around and get a feel for the historic structure. From there, you'll continue to Ait Ben Haddou and have lunch before touring this UNESCO World Heritage site with its impressive earthen architecture. After lunch, the drive continues through Ouarzazate and the Skoura Oasis. You'll stop in Kela'a M'gouna to see local rose-based cosmetics production, then finish the day settling into a guest house in Dades Gorge around early evening.

Dades Gorge to Erg Chebbi
After breakfast, you'll take a walk by the river in Dades Gorge to get your bearings. Then you're driving to Toudgha Gorges, moving through the Ziz Valley with stops in Erfoud and Rissani along the way. By afternoon, you'll reach Erg Chebbi where someone will offer you a welcoming glass of tea. Next comes the camel ride into the Sahara, lasting about one to two hours across the dunes. You'll stay positioned to catch the sunset from the 250m high dunes, and later settle into a nomad tent at the base of the dunes for the night. Dinner and Berber music around the fire wrap up your evening.

- Day 3
Erg Chebbi to Marrakesh
If you wake early, you can catch the sunrise at the dunes before heading out. Then you'll drive west through the Saghro Mountains, stopping in Tazzarine and N'Qob for lunch with mountain views surrounding you. From there, the route takes you to Tanasikht and into the Dra'a Valley where palm trees line the landscape alongside ancient kasbahs. You'll travel the old caravan route toward Agdez and check out Kasbah Tamnougalte, the oldest kasbah in the valley. By late afternoon, you're driving back to Marrakesh, crossing over the High Atlas Mountains again to finish the day.
