Itinerary
- Day 1
Skopje to Pristina to Prizren
Your tour leader picks you up from your hotel in Skopje early morning and drives you to Pristina, about an hour away. Once there, you'll walk around Kosovo's capital and see the 'Newborn' monument, which marks the country's independence declaration. The sculpture sits in a public square and has become one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. After that, you'll stroll along Sheshi Nena Tereza boulevard, the main pedestrian street lined with cafes and shops. Later, you'll head to Prizren, Kosovo's cultural center, where the pace feels different from Pristina. The medieval old town has narrow cobblestone streets worth wandering through on foot. You'll visit the Sinan Pasha Mosque with its Ottoman architecture, then browse filigree metalwork shops where artisans sell intricate silver and copper pieces. Before heading back, climb up to the fortress overlooking the town for views across the valley and surrounding mountains. The drive back to Skopje takes place in the evening, arriving after dark.
