- Julie· June 28th, 2025This was part of my first trip to Europe and it was absolutely amazing! Slovenia is a gorgeous and welcoming country. Our guide Tamara was incredible. She handled any hiccups that arose with ease and made the trip so memorable. She chose great spots for dinner and was an invaluable resource. I was a solo traveler and got along very well with the others in the tour group, which added to the experience. The itinerary was well thought out and was very enjoyable. The activities and meals were well planned and our accommodation was great. We had breakfast at the main house which was delicious and had some surprise treats from the hosts. The only thing I would have wanted different was a fan in the room for sleeping. Vintgar gorge was just beautiful and I would advise others to walk more slowly from the beginning, don't feel rushed by the crowd at the entrance. Hiking at Mount Vogel was amazing and the views kept getting better as you went along, this was my favorite part of the trip. I went horseback riding on the free day and that was easy to book with Mamut, who also transported me to the ranch and back. The rafting was really fun, the raft guides made the trip exciting as the rapids were pretty tame so I did not feel scared at any time. I think we all wished we could have went along a little longer so I would say you might want to do more rafting on the free day or stay longer and do more. The bike ride was beautiful and the use of an eBike was great. There were not many uphill sections but it made the ride more enjoyable rather than for exercise. Swimming in Lake Bled after at the spot at the Grant Hotel Toplice was great, for 25 euro for the day it would also be a great free day activity. This tour was once in a lifetime (though I'm hoping to go back) and I would recommend booking some extra days after to do more exploring. I think the timing of the trip in mid-June was great and it was only hot 1 or 2 days. I would advise others to be prepared and bring some stronger allergy medication as the pollen from the beautiful flowers caused me to be congested for most of the trip. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone looking for an active and fun trip.Show more
- Karon· May 12th, 2025The Croatia Slovenia trip was fantastic! I got to see more of Croatia, which was my goal, and many very beautiful places. Our tour guide Marija was amazing, she was very homeland Croatia knowledgeable, worked hard to connect with the group as well as connect the group together and gave excellent local recommendations on each place we visited. Marija made sure our travels were organised smoothly and always orientated us to each new place we stayed with local bearings and walking tours. Her communication was always clear. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and in walking distances of places to eat. It really was a great trip. The group we had were a fun bunch of people. I loved it!Show more

Asked on April 25th, 2024Can I add on Montenegro to this tour, before the start of it? I can arrive 2/3 days earlier. I don't see popular sites like Postojna Cave, Piran, Predjama on the itinerary. I am interested in visiting these as well - how can they be added? Typical, how large are your tour groups? What is the age group, demographic of this group?
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written April 2024
Unfortunately, we don't offer short break tours in Montenegro, and destinations like Postojna Cave, Piran, and Predjama are not part of this tour package. Hence, you'll need to organize these independently. Alternatively, for activities, you can arrange them locally by coordinating with the tour leader. Currently we have 4 confirmed travellers on this departure. Maximum capacity is 12. Age range is as follows, 1 in 40s, 1 in 50s, 1 in 60s and 1 70+.

Asked on April 17th, 2024Can you help me understand the quality of accommodation on the Dubrovnik to Bled tour, small group. Am concerned with cleanliness and having to share washroom facilities, especially with the hostel and private apartments.
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written April 2024
On the Dubrovnik to Bled tour, you can expect 3-star accommodation on average. While the hotels and private apartments are clean and well-maintained, they might not always have private en suite facilities or air-conditioning and most places will have shared washrooms. Hotels used on this trip include Hostel Sol in Dubrovnik, Marko Polo Apartments in Korcula, Pelegrini Apartments in Hvar, Hotel Slavija in Split, Boutique Hostel Forum in Zadar, Villa Rakovica in Plitvice Lakes, Boutique Hostel Joyce in Pula, and Milena Rooms & Apartments in Bled.
