- GSGretchen· December 1st, 2025Had very little communication with Inrepid until the last week. Anything over “chat” was answered with limited sentences. China is complicated when it comes to use of money and apps and it was never adequately explained even though this had to be done ahead of time. The guide on our trip did not speak very good English, and it was hard to understand. He gave limited information except that he just got us from A to B to C. This is very disappointing, considering how much money I had to spend in addition to a fairly overpriced trip. Most of the meals were extra, and most of the activities were extra and high priced. Much higher than you would expect so the idea is that either the guide or Intrepid was getting a commission. Also a day later or a day before at the hotels, along with the trip to/from the airport was exponentially higher than what you could find on online. Very disappointed and don’t understand why this Tour company Intrepid is giving a five star rating.Show more
