Bangalore
You'll touch down in Bangalore and find your representative waiting at the airport with a traditional welcome. From there, it's a transfer to your hotel where you'll check in and settle. The city itself mixes old and new quite nicely, with landmarks like the Vidhana Soudha standing out with its distinctive dome.

Bangalore to Mysore
A guided tour through Bangalore starts with the Tipu Sultan Palace, a museum showing off Mughal lifestyle and architecture that Haider Ali started and his son Tipu completed. Then you'll head to ISKCON Temple, which blends Dravidian and modern styles. After that, wander through Lal Bagh Garden, known for red roses blooming year-round ever since Haider Ali began building it in 1760. Later this afternoon, you'll drive toward Mysore, the old capital of the Wodeyars kingdom, where things feel quieter and more connected to history.

Mysore
You'll explore Mysore starting with Srirangapatna, the historic capital where Tipu Sultan resisted British rule and left behind several monuments from that period. Then visit Darya Daulat, Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, sitting on an island formed by the River Cauvery with nice surroundings. Next comes the Maharaja Palace, finished in 1912 and designed by British architect Henry Irwin. Before the day ends, climb Chamundi Hill to see the 12th-century temple of Durga and the impressive 5-meter Nandi carved from a single granite block back in 1659, one of India's largest.

Nagarhole National Park
You'll head out to Nagarhole National Park, set up in 1955 and given national park status in 1975. The park holds Royal Bengal Tigers plus plenty of other wildlife like Nilgiri Tahr, bison, leopard, Asian elephant, and wild dogs. Early morning, there's wildlife watching and bird spotting. You can also take a Coracle ride on the Kabini River, and later in the evening go on a jeep safari or elephant ride into the jungle.

Bandipur National Park
You'll drive to Bandipur National Park, one of several reserves tucked between the Western Ghats and Nilgiri Mountains in Karnataka. The park covers 865 square kilometers and was declared a National Park in 1974. It's actually one of the original 9 tiger reserves created under Project Tiger to protect India's endangered tiger population.

Bandipur National Park
Two game viewing safaris are on the schedule today so you can experience the park's diverse wildlife and natural habitats. You'll spend the day moving through the Bandipur jungle during prime viewing times.

Landmarks Bandipur National Park - Day 7
Ooty
You'll drive to Ooty, also called Udagamandalam, the capital of the Nilgiri district and known as the Queen of hill stations. The British loved coming here during colonial times, and it offers nice spots for picnics. If you're interested, there's a mountain train that runs on a ratchet and pinion track from Kallar near Mettupalayam, winding through sharp curves, tunnels, deep ravines with vegetation, streams, and tea gardens.

Munnar
You'll head to Munnar, situated where three mountain streams meet: Muthirappuzha, Chanduvarai, and Kundala. The area's surrounded by wild jungle with cool, wet weather most of the year. The British developed it for tea growing, and now it's often called the 'Switzerland of India,' with winding lanes, trekking trails, and old colonial architecture set in natural surroundings.

Landmarks Munnar - Day 10
Munnar
A guided tour takes you to tea estates spread across rolling hills and lush mountains, all ideal for trekking and long walks. Later you'll visit Eravikulam National Park, set up to protect the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. The park holds the world's largest population of Tahr and is also home to elephants, Sambhars, Gaurs, Lion-tailed Macaques, and other wildlife. Anamudi, the highest peak south of the Himalayas, towers over the sanctuary with rolling grasslands and exotic flowers all around.

Periyar
You'll drive to Periyar at Thekkady, one of India's most fascinating wildlife sanctuaries where you can see animals up close. The vegetation and wildlife here are particularly rich and varied, with tigers, Asiatic wild elephants, and Nilgiri Langur among the residents. A cruise on Periyar Lake offers a memorable way to observe wildlife, and later you can explore the sanctuary to take in its ecological patterns and natural beauty.

Periyar to Kumarakom
At sunrise, you'll spend two hours on a boat ride viewing wildlife on Lake Periyar before returning to the hotel for breakfast. Later, you'll drive to Kumarakom, a cluster of islands on Vembanad Lake in Kerala. This area, once believed to be below sea level before rising from marshes, now features lakes, canals, and paddy fields. A traditional Kettuvallam houseboat stay is set up for an unforgettable experience, and Vembanad Lake is home to various marine species including Karimeen, Chemeen, and Tiger Prawns.

Kumarakom
You'll visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, which hosts different seasonal birds depending on the time of year. October through February brings cormorants, teals, and ducks, while February to July brings darters, night herons, egrets, and Siberian storks alongside woodpeckers and other species. Later, you'll board a traditional Kettuvallam houseboat and cruise around the backwaters to Thothapalli, where you can watch and experience village life along the water.

This morning you'll leave the houseboat and drive to Kovalam, located south of Trivandrum. The coastal town sits on two main beaches separated by a high cliff. Kovalam's become known for its Ayurvedic salons and wellness resorts offering Ayurvedic treatments and regeneration experiences.
