Itinerary
- Day 1
Kuching
You'll arrive in Kuching, the capital of Sarawak on Borneo Island. A private car will take you from the airport directly to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and recover from the long flight.
- Day 2
Kuching
A guided walking tour takes you through Kuching's heritage sites, starting with Chinatown and the Cat Statue before heading to Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple and the Chinese History Museum. After checking out the Natural History Museum, you'll circle back through the City Mosque and wander Old Kuching's busy streets. Along the way, you'll see heritage buildings like the Pavilion, Square Tower, Court House, Charles Brooke Monument, and Post Office. The tour ends with a look at the Astana from the Kuching Waterfront.

Kuching to Sri Aman
You'll drive about 4 hours in an air-conditioned vehicle from Kuching to Sri Aman, passing through small towns, villages, rice paddies, and pepper and oil palm plantations as you head toward the jungle interior. Stop at Serian Town Local Market to see local produce and grab a coffee. There's also an option to visit a pepper garden to learn about different pepper varieties. Lunch happens in Lachau, and if there's time, you'll stop at Fort Alice. By evening, you'll check in at Seri Simanggang Hotel for dinner and the night.

Mengkak Longhouse
You'll spend the full day at Mengkak Longhouse. First, a 1.5-hour drive takes you to the Hydro dam, then about 30 minutes on a river cruise gets you to the longhouse. Once there, residents perform a brief cultural show including a blowpipe demonstration. Lunch is provided, and afterward you'll have free time to relax before heading back to the hotel the same way you came.

Sri Aman to Kuching
After breakfast, you'll drive back to Kuching to visit Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, the highlight of this day. There you'll observe semi-wild orangutans, one of Borneo's endangered species, moving freely through the rainforest with your guide. You'll see the breeding program in action, watching rehabilitated orangutan mothers caring for their young. From there, you'll head to your hotel in Kuching where the rest of the afternoon and evening are free to do as you like.

Kuching Departure
Time to leave Kuching. A private driver picks you up from the hotel and takes you to the airport for your departure flight, whether that's heading home or continuing on to another destination.
