    You'll arrive in Delhi and check into your hotel. This evening there's a Welcome Reception where you'll meet your Travel Director and other travelers, with drinks and local appetizers on hand.

  2. Day 2

    Delhi

    Start with a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi's busy streets. You'll stop at the Red Fort, walk through Chandni Chowk market, visit Jama Masjid and Raj Ghat, then see the old stepwell at Agrasen Ki Baoli. Your afternoon is free or you can join optional activities.

    Delhi

    Begin with a guided walk through the Salaam Baalak Trust's programs. Then you'll browse Paharganj bazaar and head to New Delhi for Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. After lunch at India Gate, you'll pass through Lutyens' Delhi's colonial neighborhoods. Afternoon is yours to relax or explore more.

    Delhi to Agra

    Travel to Agra and see the Taj Mahal at sunset. You'll get views of the marble building in rose and golden light from different angles. There's an optional sound and light show before dinner.

  5. Day 5

    Agra to Ranthambore

    Visit Agra Fort's royal chambers from the 1600s. Then you'll head to Fatehpur Sikri, the red sandstone 'Ghost Town' built by Emperor Akbar in 1569. After lunch in Bharatpur, you'll catch a train to Ranthambore where you're staying for two nights.

    Ranthambore

    You'll start early with a game drive through Ranthambore National Park, watching for tigers and other wildlife. After a late breakfast back at the hotel, you'll have time to rest. Then it's another game drive in the afternoon to spot birds and animals. Dinner is at your hotel.

    Ranthambore to Jaipur

    Travel to Jaipur, the Pink City. After free time for lunch, join a hand-block printing workshop to learn this Rajasthan art form. You'll visit a local market to see textiles and craftspeople at work. This evening you'll have dinner with a local family at their home.

    Leave Jaipur for Deogarh and stay at Deogarh Mahal, a historic fort property. This evening a Local Specialist will share stories about the region's family feuds and local legends spanning centuries.

    Deogarh

    Ride the metre-gauge train from Kambali Ghat to Phulad like locals do. Built by the British to connect Mewar and Marwar, it's now how people get around. Your afternoon offers an optional village walk with a Local Specialist or relaxation at the hotel. There's a cultural dance show and dinner.

You'll see villagers waving from wooden boats along palm-fringed canals. These old Kettuvalloms once carried rice and spices. Return to Kumarakom for dinner and evening rest.

Visit Mattancherry Dutch Palace and St. Francis Church, then check out Chinese fishing nets in Fort Kochi. Later there's a cooking demonstration and Be My Guest dinner at a local home.

    • For any tour departing before February 4th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 4th, 2026, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with Trafalgar. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
