Itinerary
- Day 1
Chiang Rai
After breakfast at your hotel, a driver picks you up at 10am for a longtail boat ride heading up the Kok river. You'll stop at a Karen village and elephant camp, where the trekking starts through rice fields, plantations, and bamboo forest on your way to Yafu village. That night you're staying in a traditional bamboo house with a Lahu family, which gives you a real sense of how people live out here.

Landmarks/POIs Kok River Karen Village Yafu Village - Day 2
Camping Area
Breakfast is at 8:30am, then you're trekking through mountain rice fields and plantations to reach Huay Mae Sai waterfall. You'll swim there and have a picnic lunch by the water. From there, continue walking through bamboo forests while learning about the Akha hill tribe. Back at Yafu village you get a chance to shower, and then it's a 20-minute hike to a camping area where you'll spend the night under canvas.

Camping Area to Chiang Rai
This morning involves trekking for about 2 and a half hours back to Karen village, where lunch is at a local restaurant. After eating, you head to nearby hot springs for a soak and some relaxation. Next is a visit to a Chinese-style temple that has an impressive large Guan Yin statue inside. Your driver then takes you back to the hotel by 2pm.
