Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Nairobi

You'll arrive in Nairobi and have the rest of the day to settle in at your own pace. The city's got plenty to explore if you're not too tired from your flight, with local restaurants serving Swahili dishes and bustling markets throughout the streets. It's a good day to get acclimated and grab some rest before things get going.

    Start point
Nairobi, Kenya (You'll be picked at your Hotel in Nairobi Kenya.)
    Accommodation
    (Ibis Style Hotel)

    Optional Activities

    • Explore Nairobi city at own pace
    • Experience Swahili cuisine
  2. Day 2

Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

Early breakfast happens before heading out toward Lake Nakuru National Park in the Great Rift Valley. The drive takes you through rolling terrain and small towns, giving you a feel for the landscape. By afternoon you're on a game drive where you'll look for rhinos (they're endangered, so spotting them is special), giraffes, and the flamingos the park is known for. The pink coloring of the water comes from the algae and makes for a striking sight.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
    Accommodation
    (Accommodation: City Max Hotel)

    Included Activities

    • Afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park
    • Wildlife viewing - rhinos, giraffes, flamingos
    Landmarks
    Lake Nakuru National Park
    Great Rift Valley
  3. Day 3

    Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara

The route climbs through Kenya's highlands and then opens up into Maasai Mara. As soon as you arrive, you get straight into an introductory game drive across the savannah. The golden grass, scattered acacia trees, and open horizons are what you came for. You'll start watching for wildlife right away, and the Big Five are all here if luck is on your side.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
    Accommodation
    (Miti Mingi Eco Camp.)

    Included Activities

    • Introductory game drive at Maasai Mara
    • Wildlife viewing - Big Five and predators
    Landmarks
    Maasai Mara National Reserve
  4. Day 4

    Maasai Mara

After breakfast you're heading out for a full day of game driving across Maasai Mara. Your packed lunch goes with you so you stay out on the plains longer. Depending on when you're traveling, you might see the Great Migration where thousands of wildebeest and zebras move across the landscape. If they're crossing rivers, you'll also see crocodiles positioned below waiting.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch (Packed lunch), Dinner
    Accommodation
    (Accommodation: Miti Mingi Eco Camp)

    Included Activities

    • Extended full-day game drive across Maasai Mara

    • Potential Great Migration viewing (seasonal)
    Landmarks
    Maasai Mara National Reserve
  5. Day 5

    Maasai Mara to North Serengeti

After breakfast you're driving toward the Isebania border to cross into Tanzania. The North Serengeti (around Kogatende and Wagakuria) is less visited than other areas, which means fewer vehicles and more wilderness. Big cats roam here regularly, and if migration season is happening, the river crossings are some of the most intense wildlife moments you'll encounter.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
    Accommodation
    (Lobo Tented Camp)

    Included Activities

    • Border crossing from Kenya to Tanzania
    • Game drive through North Serengeti

    Landmarks
    Serengeti National Park
    Isebania Border
  6. Day 6

    North Serengeti

You're spending a full day deep in the northern Serengeti, one of Africa's more remote areas. The game drive focuses on following animal herds across the plains and tracking lions. Your guide will help you read the landscape and understand what's happening with the wildlife. The scenery feels raw and untouched here, which changes how the whole experience feels.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
    Accommodation
    (Lobo Tented Camp)

    Included Activities

    • Full day game drive in North Serengeti
    • Wildlife viewing - antelope herds, lions, and other big game
    • Expert guide commentary on wildlife behavior

  7. Day 7

    Central Serengeti

You're moving deeper into Central Serengeti after breakfast. This section is famous for lion prides and the hunting interactions you might witness. The terrain shifts between open plains and rocky areas, and your guide will point out features you'd miss otherwise. This part of the Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and you'll understand why.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
    Accommodation
    (Tumbili Public Campsite)

    Included Activities

    • Game drive through Central Serengeti
    • Wildlife viewing - predators and prey interactions

  8. Day 8

Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Morning game drive in Central Serengeti happens first, then you're heading toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you drive up, the temperature drops and the landscape changes to misty forests. By the time you reach the crater rim, you're looking down at a caldera that's the largest intact one in the world. The views are something else.

    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
    Accommodation
    ( Accommodation: Simba Public Campsite)

After lunch, you'll drive to Arusha and catch a flight to Zanzibar, arriving on the island by late afternoon with turquoise water and white sand beaches waiting for you.

This day is all about Zanzibar's beaches. You can spend time swimming in the Indian Ocean, lounging in the sun, or arranging a massage under the palm trees if you want. The island's rhythm is pretty relaxed, and there's something nice about just taking in the breeze and watching dhow boats move along the shore.
