Nairobi
Your safari adventure kicks off in Nairobi where your guide meets you to go over what you'll see and answers any questions before heading out on your first drive. Nairobi has quite a bit to offer beyond the safari itself, including museums, national parks, wildlife attractions, restaurants, shopping and nightlife if you want to explore before or after your game drives.

Landmarks Nairobi National Park - Day 2
Lake Nakuru National Park
You'll spend the day on safari in Lake Nakuru National Park where you can spot black and white rhinos, lions including the rare tree-climbing variety, and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. Throughout your drive you'll also watch for flamingos, leopards and various bird species as they move through the acacia forests and around the lake with the escarpment in the background.

- Days 3 - 4
Serengeti National Park
This day covers two major parks. In the Masai Mara you'll see lions, leopards and cheetahs hunting across the savannah along with elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and hyenas. After that you'll transfer to Serengeti National Park where big cats, elephants and giraffes roam the flat grasslands dotted with acacia trees, and over 500 bird species live throughout the park.

Central Serengeti National Park
You're based right in the heart of the Serengeti now, which puts you in the zone with the highest wildlife concentration in the park. The acacia trees and endless grasslands surrounding your location give you plenty of opportunities to see animals as they move through this central area throughout the day.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park - Day 7
Ngorongoro Crater
Today you'll head to Ngorongoro Crater, a landscape unlike anywhere else in the region. The crater rim is ringed by cloud forests and offers views down into the caldera of this ancient volcano. You'll drive down the steep trail to the crater floor itself where hyenas, lions, elephants, black rhinos and hippos live in this sunken ecosystem that formed over thousands of years.

Landmarks Ngorongoro Crater - Day 8
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is on the agenda, and it's one of Tanzania's best parks for wildlife viewing. The landscape is defined by large baobab trees and plenty of big cats and elephants roaming around. You can expect to see wildebeests, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys and zebras, plus Tarangire has one of Tanzania's healthiest lion populations, so cheetahs and leopards show up regularly against the savannah plains, river woodlands and rocky hills.
