The Yala safari was definitely the highlight, and Sigiriya is just incredible. That said, the long drives between destinations can get tiring, especially if you’re not used to spending hours in a car. The highlight for me was the visit to Sigiriya the view from the top is absolutely breathtaking. Yala National Park didn’t disappoint either, and the wildlife was spectacular. While the drive times can feel long but our friendly drivers made it manageable. The accommodation was decent, although I expected a bit more luxury in some places. Drives were the only downside, but with so much to see, it was worth it. One mentioned having a great week when the tour is a fortnight. Frequent mentions of appreciation of "the services" is not encouraging.
