You'll arrive and get your briefing, then head into Arusha to get a feel for the city. It's the main jumping-off point for safaris in northern Tanzania, so you'll see plenty of activity and local color. This is where your adventure begins.

Tarangire National Park
You're heading to Tarangire National Park today. The baobab trees here are iconic, and you'll see herds of elephants moving through the landscape. Look for lions, cheetahs, and leopards too, along with wildebeest, giraffe, hippo, buffalo, and zebra spread across the park.

Serengeti National Park
Start in the Ngorongoro Highlands where it's cooler and you can find elephants, buffaloes, and leopards in the forest. You'll get views of the craters and mountains from here. Later, you head into the Serengeti to see big cats, huge elephant herds, giraffe, impala, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, and hundreds of bird species across the golden grasslands.

Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara is one of Tanzania's overlooked parks, and you'll see why it shouldn't be skipped. Baboons and elephants hang out in the thick evergreen forest here. The famous tree-climbing lions are another draw, and the birdlife is really exceptional with the Rift Valley escarpment rising on the western side.

Dhow Sunset Cruise
