Itinerary
- Day 1
Cao Bang
Your hotel pickup starts things off early, and from there you'll head toward Trung Khanh to take in the dramatic scenery of Ma Phuc Pass. The route itself is worth the drive, with winding roads through the limestone landscape. Once you arrive at Nguom Ngao cave, you'll spend time exploring the stalactites and underground formations inside. After that, the drive continues to Ban Gioc Waterfall, which sits on the Vietnam-China border and is one of the region's most notable waterfalls. There's time here to walk around and take photos before lunch. In the afternoon, on your way back toward Cao Bang, you'll stop at Phuc Sen Knife Village where local craftspeople demonstrate how they forge traditional knives using methods passed down through generations. It's a quick look at how the work gets done, and then you'll head back to your hotel by evening.
