Lima
Your flight lands in Lima and a transfer takes you directly to your hotel in Miraflores, one of the city's most pleasant neighborhoods right on the coast.
- Day 2
Lima
A guided tour walks you through Lima's modern districts and the historic center, which is protected as a UNESCO site. After visiting the Larco Herrera Museum with its impressive collection of pre-Columbian art, the afternoon is yours to wander around the neighborhood at your own pace.

Lima to Arequipa
You'll fly to Arequipa and take a walking tour through the White City, named for the white volcanic stone buildings that line its streets. The Santa Catalina monastery is next on the schedule, and stepping inside this 16th-century complex feels like entering another world.

Arequipa to Colca Canyon

Colca Canyon to Puno
An early start gets you to Cruz del Condor where the canyon walls drop dramatically below. If weather cooperates and you're lucky, you might see Andean condors soaring overhead. Later in the day it's a long drive to Puno, shared with other travelers on the tour.

Lake Titicaca
A speedboat takes you out onto Lake Titicaca, the world's highest lake you can navigate by boat. You'll visit Taquile Island known for traditional knitting, then head to the Luquina community on the Chuquito peninsula. On the return to Puno, a stop at the Uros floating reed islands gives you a look at this unique way of life.

Puno to Cusco
The full day involves traveling by bus from Puno to Cusco alongside other tour participants. The route passes through La Raya at 4,335m/14,222ft where you get panoramic views of the Andes, and stops include the Viracocha temple and the colonial church at Andahuaylillas.

You'll see the brilliant white salt extraction pools at Maras, then check out Moray with its distinctive round terraced platforms. The fortress ruins of Ollantaytambo come next, and in late afternoon you board a train to Aguas Calientes for an overnight stay.

An early shuttle bus takes you to Machu Picchu's entrance, and a guided tour walks you through this architectural masterpiece recognized as one of the seven modern wonders. By afternoon you're on a train heading back toward Ollanta and Poroy, continuing to Cusco the same day.

Cusco to Bogotá
A transfer takes you to the airport for your flight to Bogotá. Upon landing, another transfer brings you to your hotel in the old town, giving you time to settle in and get oriented.

After breakfast you head to the Paloquemao market to see local produce and the daily life of Bogotá. The city tour continues from there, and the day finishes with a cable car ride up Monserrate mountain where you can see across Bogotá and the surrounding savannah.

Bogotá to Coffee Zone

Cocora Valley
A short hike through Cocora Valley takes you among giant wax palms that tower through the cloud forest. On the drive back to your hacienda you pass through hilly coffee country and stop in one of the region's most colorful villages, where traditional buildings with bright facades hold cafes and shops selling local handmade items.

You're driven along the coffee highway toward Medellín. The city has undergone dramatic changes over the last two decades, transforming from its troubled past into a center for innovation and forward-thinking urban development.
