Itinerary
- Day 1
Corfu to Meteora
Your tour leader meets you at Corfu port, and from there you'll board a ferry to Igoumenitsa for a short seaside visit. The drive takes you inland to Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage site where monasteries sit dramatically on top of rock formations that rise from the plains. You'll explore the Church of Assumptions, which dates back to the 11th century, then walk through the cobblestone lanes winding between those towering rocks. The local food scene here is worth checking out for lunch or dinner. You'll stay overnight in Kalabaka, the town at the base of these formations.

- Day 2
Meteora to Gjirokaster
After crossing into Albania, you're heading to Gjirokaster, called 'The Stone City' and also a UNESCO World Heritage site. This fortified medieval town has these distinctive fortress-like houses built right into the hillside, which creates an unusual look you won't see elsewhere. You'll walk through the medieval bazaar where local artisans sell handmade crafts, then visit the castle of Gjirokaster itself, which goes back to the 4th century AD. One of the best-preserved traditional houses is on the tour itinerary as well. You'll spend the night in Gjirokaster.

- Day 3
Gjirokaster to Ksamil to Corfu
The day starts with travel to Butrint, an important archaeological site and UNESCO World Heritage location that tells the history of Albania through its ruins and remains. From there, you'll head to Ksamil on the Albanian Riviera, known for its white sandy beaches and clear waters with views of four islands sitting offshore. You'll have time to spend on the beach and soak in the atmosphere before heading to Saranda Port. From Saranda, you'll take the ferry back to Corfu, where you'll say goodbye to your tour leader and the other travelers as the tour concludes.
