Itinerary
- Day 1
Rabat
You'll get picked up at 9 am from your riad or airport, then head toward Casablanca on the highway. Once there, you can check out the art galleries and fashion scene around the modern city, then see the Mosque of Hassan II sitting right on the coast. After that, it's on to Rabat, the capital, where you'll walk through the mausoleum of Mohammed V and Hassan II, visit Tour Hassan and its surrounding gardens. The day wraps up with dinner in the medina before heading to your accommodation for the night.

Tangier
After breakfast, a local guide takes you around Rabat to see the mausoleum of Mohammed V and Hassan II, Tour Hassan, the old medina, and the riverside area. You'll cross the river to nearby Salé, then head to Kasbah Oudaya with its colorful fishing boats below. From there, drive to Assilah, known for its blue-and-white medina and street art scene, and grab lunch while exploring. Later in the afternoon, you'll drive about 30 km to Tangier (the gateway between Africa and Europe) and finish with dinner in the medina.

Chefchaouen
Meet your local guide at 9:30 am for a walking tour through Tangier's medina. You'll visit the Hercules Caves and Kasbah, check out medina museums and historical spots like Place du 9 Avril 1947 and Petit Socco (the old souk), then see Dar el Makhzen, the palace complex Sultan Moulay Ismail built. After a 2-hour drive along the Mediterranean coast, you'll have lunch in Tetouan, then continue to Chefchaouen in the Rif mountains. Spend time walking through the medina with its blue-painted houses and narrow alleyways.

Meknes - Fes
After breakfast, head to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site about 33 km north of Meknes. This 2,000-year-old Roman city is known for its mosaics and has an on-site museum (you can explore independently or hire a local guide for extra cost). Then travel to Meknes, a historic former capital with luxury palaces, beautiful mosques, and important souks. You'll get a guided tour of Bab el-Mansour gate, the mausoleum of Mulay Ismail, and the Heri es-Souani stables. Later, continue to Fes for your next two-night stay.

Fes
Your local guide takes you through Fes's medina for the full day, starting at Bab Boujloud gate (one of the main entrances). Visit the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts and Crafts, housed in a restored caravanserai where you'll see traditional tools, carpets, furniture, and musical instruments. After lunch at one of the medina restaurants, head to the famous tanneries to watch leather being processed using centuries-old techniques. From a lookout point, you can observe the different stages of work. Before the day ends, drive up a hill to the cemetery for panoramic views across the medina's white houses.

Merzouga
Start early heading toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. You'll stop for coffee in Ifrane, called the Switzerland of Morocco for its distinctive chalet-style houses. Drive south through typical villages where you might see nomad families in tents. After lunch in Midelt, enjoy panoramic views while crossing the Tizi N' Talghoumt pass. Continue on to Erfoud for fantastic valley views lined with thousands of date palms. Arrive in Merzouga near the Sahara dunes and settle in at your desert lodge for the night after dinner.

Sahara Desert
You'll spend the entire day in the Sahara Desert. Travel across the dunes by 4x4, visit nomad families for tea in their tents, explore an oasis, and ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes. Stop at the village of Khamlia to experience its folk music. By late afternoon, you'll return to Merzouga for a one-hour camel ride to the desert camp while watching the sunset over the dunes. After dinner in a Berber tent, you can sit by the campfire to watch for shooting stars before sleeping in a nomad tent.

Todra Gorges - Dades Valley
Get up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara and have typical breakfast. Return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4, then visit Rissani's local market with its unique donkey parking and fossil shops outside the city. After lunch, take the river road to Todra Gorges for a short hike between dramatic 300-meter-high rock walls. On your way to the overnight riad, stop at Boumalne Dades to see rock formations that resemble monkey hands. Photo opportunities show up throughout the day.

Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Telouet - Marrakech
Travel to Marrakech while viewing multiple landscapes. You'll see the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs (Skoura Valley) and the Valley of Roses, then visit the historic Amridil Kasbah, one of the largest and most important in Southern Morocco. In Ouarzazate (the Hollywood of Morocco), check out the old Taourirt Kasbah with its maze-like palace rooms and the movie museum. See the Atlas Corporation film studios where movies like Gladiator and Prince of Persia were filmed. Visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage clay city with numerous ksars and kasbahs. Continue to Telouet fortress with its beautiful mosaic tiles and wood carvings, then cross the High Atlas mountains over Tizi n'Tichka pass before arriving in Marrakech.

Marrakech
A guide takes you through Marrakech for the day. Start by visiting Palais de Bahia with its fantastic courtyards and mosaic walls built for Bou Ahmed. Walk through the Jewish Quarter to notice the distinct architecture, then check out the hidden Saadian tombs from 1557 during Sultan Ahmed El Mansour's reign. Head to Koutoubia Mosque and the lively Djemaa el Fna square where you can grab fresh pressed orange juice and watch snake charmers, henna tattoo artists, and water sellers. After lunch overlooking Jemaa el Fna, visit the peaceful Majorelle Garden, a botanical space and former home of designer Yves Saint Laurent. The bright blue villa now houses the Berber Museum.

You'll get a transfer to either Menara Airport Marrakech or Marrakech Train Station for your departure. If you need a transfer to Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport instead, contact the operator about the additional supplement.
