Mkomazi National Park
You'll head into Mkomazi National Park where the landscape opens up with Mount Kilimanjaro visible to the northwest. The park spreads across a massive ecosystem that actually connects with Kenya's Tsavo, so you're looking at one of the larger continuous wildlife areas in the region. During the wet season, you'll see herds of elephant, oryx, and zebra moving through, which makes for really good wildlife watching. The Pare and Usambara Mountains rise up to the south, framing the whole scene. This is the kind of park where you spend most of your day on game drives, stopping at different vantage points to spot animals and take in the raw, open terrain.
