Your travel assistant will be waiting when you arrive at Sibiu Airport or the train station. You'll have time to walk around Sibiu and see the city before heading out to Archita in the late afternoon. Dinner and your first night's stay happen there.

Archita to Crit
After breakfast, check out the fortified church right in Archita, then you'll start an easy walk through forest trails that are well marked. You'll pack provisions after breakfast and start an easy hike through Saxon villages with Protestant fortified churches in Cloasterf along your route. By afternoon, you'll arrive in Saschiz where there's a fortified church and time to walk around this restored Saxon village. You'll spend the night there.

Saschiz to Sapartoc
Today's hike connects various Saxon villages and hamlets through old forests. You'll reach Daia and meet locals who can tell you about village life and share stories about Vulcan. After that, you'll head to Sapartoc for dinner and settle in for the night.

Landmarks Daia - Day 5
Sapartoc to Stejărenii
This hike is a bit more challenging with longer forest sections and some stretches on asphalt roads through villages. You'll reach Sighisoara around lunchtime and grab a meal at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, the Breite Plateau comes into view with rolling pastures and oak trees that are 400 to 600 years old. You'll finish the day in the Saxon village of Stejărenii.

Stejărenii to Malancrav
After breakfast, gather your provisions for a shorter, easier hike today. You'll walk up through hills and forests then across open meadows, passing through Cris and Floresti. By afternoon, you'll arrive at Malancrav to see the church with its unique paintings before spending the night.

Malancrav to Biertan
You'll hike through Transylvanian hills and deciduous forests, going through Copsa Mare where you can visit a fortified church. After walking 1.5 km on asphalt, the path continues over rolling terrain with nice views until you reach Biertan. That afternoon, you'll tour the famous fortified church, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
