Itinerary
- Day 1
Baltra to Puerto Ayora
You'll land at Baltra and get picked up for the drive to Puerto Ayora, stopping at Rancho Primicias turtle farm to see the giant tortoises along the way. After arriving in town, the rest of your afternoon is open. If you're up for it, there's a 2.5 km trail through dry forest that takes you to Tortuga Bay's beach, and from there you can keep going another kilometer to Playa Mansa for swimming and kayaking. It's a nice way to ease into your trip, or you can just relax after traveling.

Seymour Norte
An early morning drive heads to the north side of the island where your guided boat tour to Seymour Norte begins. You'll watch blue-footed boobies, courting frigatebirds, and land lizards throughout the morning. The boat then takes you to either Bachas or Mosquera beach for swimming and snorkeling with sea lions. You're back at your hotel by late afternoon. If Seymour Norte doesn't appeal to you, the tour operator can arrange options to Bartolomé Island or Plazas instead based on what you'd prefer.

Isabela Island
Your morning starts with a guided tour of Puerto Ayora bay, hitting Playa de los Alemanes, Playa de Perros, Las Grietas rocky gorge, and Shark Canal with time to swim and snorkel at Lobería before heading back around midday. In the afternoon, a speedboat takes you west to Isabela Island, which is roughly 2 hours of travel. You'll get picked up at Puerto Villamil and driven to your hotel, then finish out the evening watching the sunset from the beach.

Sierra Negra Volcano
An early pickup from your hotel starts a full day with an English-speaking national park guide heading into the highlands and up to Sierra Negra volcano. The hike moves through unusual lava landscapes and different vegetation zones to reach the volcano crater. On clear days, you can see other volcanoes and islands from up there. You'll get back to Puerto Villamil by late afternoon with time to swim and snorkel at nearby Concha Perla bay.

Los Tuneles Snorkeling Tour
Your boat tour with an English-speaking national park guide heads along the coast to where lava met the sea, creating dramatic lava arches and tunnels you can see from the water. A short shore excursion gives you a chance to spot Galapagos penguins and blue-footed boobies. After that, you snorkel at a location where you might see sea turtles, whitetip sharks, and seahorses. Lunch happens on board, then it's back to Puerto Villamil with a sunset beach walk to wrap up the day.

Landmarks Los Tuneles - Day 6
Isabela to Baltra Airport
An early 5:30 AM pickup gets your return journey started. The speedboat leaves Puerto Villamil at 6:00 AM, heading back to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island and arriving around 8:30 AM. From the harbor, you'll be driven to Itabaca Channel where you catch the ferry to Baltra airport island. After that, it's a bus ride to the airport for your flight back to Guayaquil and your international connection to Europe.
