Itinerary
- Day 1
Reykjavik
You'll land at Keflavik Airport and catch the Flybus shuttle into Reykjavik to reach your accommodation. The afternoon and evening are open for you to explore the city on your own terms, so you can wander around, grab a meal, or rest up after your flight.
- Day 2
Gullfoss - Reykjavik
Today you're heading out on the Golden Circle tour, starting at Thingvellir National Park where you'll see the Mid-Atlantic rift splitting the landscape. From there you'll drive to Gullfoss waterfall, then continue to the geothermal area around Haukadalur to watch Strokkur geyser shoot water into the air. After heading back, dinner comes at Ingólfsskáli Viking Restaurant with traditional Viking fare and atmosphere. Later in the evening, you'll watch for Northern Lights over Faxaflói Bay if conditions cooperate.

New Year's Eve Celebration
It's New Year's Eve and you'll start with a guided city tour of Reykjavik, seeing the city center, Parliament, the harbour, and Hallgrímskirkja church standing tall over the city. You'll pass by Harpa concert hall and stop at the Pearl building for views across Reykjavik. Later, a walking tour takes you through Icelandic holiday traditions with tastings of local Christmas treats along the way. By evening you'll be at Perlan for a festive gala dinner with live music, a DJ, access to the observation deck, and views of the city lights.

Blue Lagoon - Reykjavik
You're exploring the Reykjanes peninsula today, driving through dramatic coastal scenery and visiting Bessastaðir (the President's official residence), the Bridge between the Continents, Gunnuhver hot spring area, and Brimketill viewpoint. The UNESCO Global Geopark lighthouse is also on the route. After lunch at the Northern Light Inn, you'll spend the afternoon soaking in the Blue Lagoon's warm geothermal water. Dinner wraps up the day at Hereford, a well-known steakhouse serving modern Icelandic cuisine.
