Itinerary
- Day 1
Halifax
You'll arrive in Halifax and connect with your private driver for the transfer downtown. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace. The waterfront boardwalk sits right there within walking distance, and you can wander Granville Street's historic storefronts and stop by local cafes whenever you feel like it.



- Day 2
Halifax - Peggy's Cove
This morning you'll join a small-group guided tour that covers Halifax's naval history and harbour viewpoints around the city. Then the group heads west to Peggy's Cove, where you'll see traditional fishing shacks tucked along narrow inlets and watch waves crash over ancient granite. Your guide talks through the fishing heritage, local geology, and conservation work happening in the area. Later you'll return to Halifax with time to grab dinner.

- Day 3
Halifax
You have the full day to spend however you like in Halifax. The Citadel gives you military history, while the Maritime Museum shows wooden ship exhibits and details about the Halifax Explosion. Keep walking along the waterfront toward the Seaport Market and brewery district if that appeals to you, or head to Point Pleasant Park where forested trails wind through the landscape overlooking the harbour mouth.

- Day 4
Halifax to Montreal
A short walk or taxi ride gets you to the station where you'll board VIA Rail's Ocean, a route steeped in history connecting Atlantic Canada to Central Canada. You'll settle into your Sleeper Plus cabin with daytime seating and fold-down beds for sleeping. As the city fades behind you, the landscape shifts to bays, forests, and small communities. Meals come to you in the dining car throughout the journey.

Montreal
You wake to river views and the rural Quebec landscape passing by before breakfast comes through your cabin onboard. The train pulls into central Montreal by midday, and you're already walking distance from shops, restaurants, and major cultural attractions. After you check into your downtown hotel, spend the afternoon exploring Old Montreal's stone streets, ducking into nearby museums, or settling at local cafes.

Montreal
You've got the full day to move through Montreal's distinct neighbourhoods and see how the city's cultural layers show themselves. Jean-Talon Market has produce and bakery stalls worth browsing, Mount Royal offers a broad city view from up top, and Mile End has design shops and cafes throughout. The metro system and grid layout make getting between districts straightforward.

Montreal
Here's your second free day to see a different side of Montreal. This flexible day gives you the chance to go deeper into whatever caught your interest.

Montreal to Airport
