Porto
You'll arrive in Porto, the port city sitting at the mouth of the Douro River. If you've arranged for group transfers from the airport, those are included with your package, so you can head straight to your ship or accommodation without worrying about transportation.

Douro Valley
You'll need to choose your adventure for the day. One option takes you to Castelo Rodrigo, a medieval hilltop castle with a charming village below it. The other choice is the Archaeological Park of the Côa Valley, where you can see prehistoric rock carvings up close and get a sense of how old this region really is.

- Day 4
Salamanca, Spain
Head to Salamanca, the historic university town known locally as the Golden City because of its distinctive sand-colored stone buildings and the number of churches throughout. While you're exploring, your ship continues moving through the UNESCO-protected Douro River Valley, so you'll see incredible landscapes from the water.

Lamego, Portugal
Spend time in Lamego, a special town positioned at the gateway of the Douro Valley. You'll do a walking tour here with wine tasting built in. Later in the evening, you'll head out to dinner at a local quinta, so you can experience how locals eat and drink in this wine region.

Braga, Portugal

Porto
Back in Porto now, you can explore Portugal's second city at your own pace. You have two ways to experience it: choose a panoramic drive tour to cover more ground and see the city from different angles, or do a walking tour to get a feel for where Port wine gets its name and how the city has developed.
