Arrival in Kathmandu
A company representative meets you at Tribhuwan International Airport and takes you to your hotel in Kathmandu. After settling in, head out for a walk around Thamel's streets and shops. This evening your guide goes over the EBC trek details and what to expect safety-wise, then you'll have dinner at a local restaurant with a cultural performance.

Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour
Today covers Kathmandu's major sites including Swayambhunath with its monkeys, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. From there you'll see the historical Durbar Squares in Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur. Later in the day, meet with your guide to go through your gear and confirm everything's ready for the trek ahead.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
An early flight gets you to Lukla in about 30-35 minutes with good views of valleys and the Himalayan peaks. Your trekking team and porters meet you there, and then the trek begins toward Phakding. The route takes you through dense forest past prayer wheels, down through Chheplung village, and across several suspension bridges before arriving at Phakding for the night.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
The trek goes upstream along the riverbank to where the Bhote Koshi and Dudh Koshi Rivers meet. After crossing the Hillary Bridge, you'll start climbing toward Namche Bazaar. On the way up, Mount Everest comes into view along with Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Taweche, which marks your entry into the higher peaks region.

Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day

The Sagarmatha National Park Visitor Center has information about Everest climbers and Sherpa culture. Optional stops include Khumjung monastery and Hillary School if you're interested.

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
After breakfast, trek toward Tengboche on moderate terrain with some climbing. The views here include Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Watch for musk deer and Himalayan Thar as you pass through forests, villages, and monasteries on your way up.

Tengboche to Dingboche
This trek day is relatively easy until the steep final climb to Dingboche. You'll pass through Somare and Orsho villages, then take the left fork toward Pheriche. After crossing a bridge, tackle the steep uphill stretch to reach Dingboche Village at 4,410m for the night.

Dingboche Acclimatization Day
An acclimatization day at higher altitude, so stay active with optional treks. Go up the valley toward Chhukung and Island Peak, take a 2-3 hour route to Nangkartshang Gompa, trek to Bibr at 4,570m, or climb Chukhung Ri at 5,550m for views of Mount Makalu and surrounding peaks.

Dingboche to Lobuche
One of the trek's most beautiful days heading toward Lobuche. Tiny villages sit dwarfed by Ama Dablam, Pokalde, Kongma-Tse, and the Nuptse wall. Pass the Trekkers Aid Post at Pheriche, then climb steeply through Chukpo Lari with its memorials to climbers. Reach Lobuche and watch the sunset over Nuptse.

Lobuche to Everest Base Camp to Gorakshep
An 8-hour trek to Everest Base Camp lies ahead. The route follows rocky paths past glacial ponds and icebergs, then climbs through meadows and moraine stone steps to Gorakhshep. Continue from there to Base Camp at 5,364m. Spend time at this legendary location, then return to Gorakhshep for the night.

- Day 11
Gorakshep to Kala Patthar to Pheriche
Start early and climb steeply to Kala Patthar, taking about 2 hours. The summit has prayer flags, cairns, and a small stupa with a weather station. From here you'll see panoramic views of Pumori, Nuptse, Changtse, Ama Dablam, Taweche, Everest, and Kantega. After breakfast at Gorakshep, descend to Pheriche.

Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Trek back down to Namche Bazaar through valleys and pasturelands, and breathing gets easier at lower altitude. Pass through Tengboche and Monjo valley with views of Ama Dablam visible from hillsides covered in rhododendrons and juniper. Watch for wildlife along the route back toward Lukla.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Descend steeply from Namche Bazaar back to Lukla, following Sherpa villages and the Tenzing-Hillary suspension bridge trail. The path winds through picturesque landscapes along the Dudh Koshi River with many suspension bridges crossing through forests and small villages. Finish in Lukla and explore the bazaar for local goods.
