Itinerary
- Day 1
Frankfurt to Cape Town
Your journey starts with a flight from Frankfurt (or another Swiss, Austrian, or German airport if needed) heading to Cape Town on Qatar Airways or a similar carrier. You'll be in the air for quite a while, so settle in and get some rest before landing.
 - Day 2
Cape Town
Touch down in Cape Town and your English-speaking driver meets you for the transfer to your waterfront hotel. Once you've checked in and freshened up, the afternoon is yours to walk around the Waterfront area at your own pace. Grab dinner later at one of the restaurants nearby with views looking out over Table Bay.

Cape Town
A German-speaking guide picks you up for a half-day city tour. You'll check out the Castle of Good Hope, walk down Adderley Street, see the Groote Kerk, and wander through the Cape Malay Quarter. After that, you'll stroll through the Company's Garden and finish with a walking tour of the busy Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. If you're interested, there's an optional cable car ride up Table Mountain (you'd cover the ticket cost yourself).

Cape Peninsula
Today you head out on a day trip to the Cape Peninsula and the Cape of Good Hope. You'll stop in Simons Town to see the penguin colony at Boulders Beach, then drive along Chapman's Peak Drive and the famous coastal road that overlooks False Bay. The conditions should give you good visibility and views stretching across miles of ocean.

Robertson - Montagu
Your German-speaking guide arrives around 9 am to pick you up. You'll drive through the wine regions of Worcester and Robertson, stopping at a local winery for tastings. From there, it's on to Montagu for check-in, and then you get a walking tour of the town with its traditional Cape Dutch buildings.

Montagu to Oudtshoorn
After breakfast, you drive to Oudtshoorn, known as the ostrich capital. In the afternoon, a guided farm tour lets you see these large birds up close and learn about them.

Cango Caves - Knysna
Following breakfast, you tour the Cango Caves and see the limestone formations that took millions of years to form. Then you continue to Knysna, which sits on a lagoon. A 90-minute whale watching boat safari is available during the season (September through November) if you stop in Mossel Bay, and you'd arrange that yourself. The rest of your time there you can spend walking around the town or along the waterfront.

Tsitsikamma - Addo Elephant Park
You travel to Tsitsikamma National Park for a walk to the Storms River estuary (if weather allows). The park stretches 80 kilometers along rocky coastline with deep valleys filled in high forest and mountain fynbos. In the afternoon you arrive at Addo Elephant Park and take your first game drive. This 180,000-hectare park has nearly 500 elephants plus lions, buffalo, rhinos, and various antelope species.

Amakhala Game Reserve
You head to the nearby Amakhala Game Reserve for a jeep safari with a local ranger guiding you through the wildlife. There's a good chance you'll spot lions hunting or herds of elephants passing by. Lunch comes at a lodge inside the reserve.

Durban
After a relaxed breakfast, you drive to Port Elizabeth (now called Gqeberha) for an orientation tour of the city. Then you board a flight to Durban to continue with the WILDPARKS tour. Once you land in early evening, your driver takes you to Umhlanga resort town where you can take a walk on the beach and stretch your legs.

St Lucia
You drive through sugar cane fields and pineapple plantations to reach St Lucia, a spot where hippos often wander right into the village. In the late afternoon, you board a two-hour boat safari on the St Lucia Estuary, moving slowly across the river to spot crocodiles, hippos, pelicans, and various birds.

Hluhluwe Umfolozi - eSwatini
An early departure takes you to Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park where you'll explore by open safari vehicle looking for lions, elephants, giraffes, and the park's endangered black rhinos. You return to St Lucia with time to yourself, then continue into eSwatini (the Kingdom of eSwatini), a small landlocked country and one of Africa's three remaining kingdoms. You'll pass through rolling countryside to reach the Ezulwini Valley where you visit a craft market and a Swazi cultural village.

eSwatini to Hazyview (Panorama Route)
After breakfast, you leave eSwatini and head back into South Africa. By afternoon you reach your hotel in Hazyview, located in the heart of the Panorama Route. You can relax in the hotel's garden and pool, or book optional activities like zipline tours through the treetops or an elephant interaction at the Elephant Sanctuary.

Kruger National Park
Today takes you through the Panorama Route landscape with stops at Bourkes Luck Potholes, Three Rondavels at the Blyde River Canyon, and God's Window. You drive over mountain passes with views of the semi-tropical lowveld below. You arrive at your lodge in Kruger National Park in the early afternoon. An optional foot game drive with local rangers is available after check-in if you're interested.

Kruger National Park
A full day jeep safari in Kruger National Park lets you observe countless large and small animals including the Big Five: elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo. You'll see lions resting, zebra herds grazing, and elephants at waterholes during the open jeep drive. Make sure your camera has plenty of memory space. You return to the lodge in the evening to relax and watch the sunset from the terrace.
