Dar es Salaam
Your hotel pickup happens at 8:30 AM or you can join in the early afternoon for a half-day city tour. Start at Mwenge Art where you'll see wood carvings and cloth paintings including batiks and tinga tinga works. From there, head to the National Museum to check out the Zinjathropus skull, which was discovered in the Ngorongoro Olduvai Gorge area. This gives you a solid overview of local art and Tanzania's archaeological heritage in one morning or afternoon.

Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, you'll travel south about 20km to Geza Ulole village in Mboamaji. There's a four-centuries-old mosque to explore, plus the historic slave deport and old Muslim graves that tell the area's story. You'll watch local fishermen work with their traditional Dhow boats, and later in the afternoon take a walk through the village. This gives you a real sense of Zaramo tribe culture and how people actually live here.

Bagamoyo
Once you've had breakfast, drive north through Dar es Salaam to reach historic Bagamoyo village. You'll tour this 13th-century town and see the Old Cathedral, coral museum, Kaole mosque, the Old ferry at the Great Wami River, and African Art Collage. Your guide will explain Bagamoyo's role as the departure point where Livingstone and Stanley began their journeys inland, and how it functioned as the endpoint of slave trade routes. It's a significant place historically.

Bagamoyo
This day is yours to relax and recharge at the coastal resort. Spend time by the pool or on the soft white sand beach however you like. If you're interested in water sports, those can be arranged, so just let your guide know what appeals to you.
