- Day 1
Arrival in Tbilisi
You'll arrive in Tbilisi and get transferred to your hotel for a 14:00 check-in. That evening, the group comes together for a traditional Georgian feast. You'll learn about Georgian cuisine, how feasting works culturally, and the importance of toasts while enjoying the food and company.

- Day 2
Tbilisi to Kakheti
Head out to the Kakheti wine region, which is filled with vineyards and old monasteries. You'll see Sighnaghi, an ancient hilltop city with fortress walls that look out over the Alazani Valley. After lunch at a family restaurant with local wines like saperavi and kindzmarauli, you'll tour a premium winery for tastings. The day includes visiting Bodbe Monastery where Saint Nino is buried, plus hands-on classes making dedas puri bread and churchkhela candy.

Gudauri Ski Resort and Tbilisi New Year's Eve
Travel to Gudauri, Georgia's main ski resort, for mountain activities. If you ski or snowboard, there are runs on mountains over 3,200 meters high. Otherwise, you can have mulled wine, try Georgian food, take sleigh rides, and enjoy other winter activities with mountain views. You'll return to Tbilisi by evening with options for a restaurant with a show, open-air concerts around the city, or a private celebration for New Year's Eve.

Tbilisi Sightseeing
After New Year's Eve, take a casual walking tour through Tbilisi. You'll wander Old Tbilisi's ancient streets and see historic landmarks while the city still has that New Year feeling in the air. Stop by various churches, historical squares, and traditional buildings to get a sense of the city's character and history.

Mtskheta

That evening, the community celebrates Bedoba, the day of fate, with the tradition that how you spend this day shapes your luck for the whole year ahead.

Tbilisi to Kutaisi via Uplistsikhe
Leave Tbilisi after breakfast and head to Western Georgia. You'll explore Uplistsikhe, a 3rd-century BC cave city that shows 3,000 years of art, architecture, and religion. After crossing the Rikota Pass into dramatic Western Georgian landscape, you'll reach Kutaisi, Georgia's second-largest city but first in historical importance. See Bagrati Temple from the 11th century and Gelati Monastery from the 12th century, then check into your hotel.

Kutaisi to Mestia (Svaneti)
Travel through Mengrelia into Svaneti, where you'll find distinct local languages, traditions, and the iconic Svan towers that represent ancient heritage. You'll arrive in Mestia, a high mountain village at 1,500 meters that serves as Svaneti's main center. Check in and explore local customs. Two ski slopes (Zuruldi and Tetnuldi) are nearby if you want to book equipment or bring your own.

Mestia

- Day 9
Svan Traditions and Christmas
Learn why Svaneti's skiing is considered superior to Gudauri despite having similar elevations, thanks to better snow quality, well-preserved ecosystems, and consistently cold temperatures. Visit a Svan family living in a house that's been in their family since the 12th century, with furniture from the 14th century and towers from the 8th century. You'll discover local traditions including how Svan salt is made. The evening features Christmas celebrations following Svan customs.

- Day 10
Mestia to Batumi
Experience the trip's most dramatic shift as you descend from snowy mountains to tropical forest. You'll travel from Svaneti through Mengrelia toward the coast, stopping in Zugdidi to see the Dadiani princes' palace and park and try Mingrelian food. Then continue to Batumi on the Black Sea. Along the way, pass through citrus orchards where you can meet locals and pick oranges, lemons, and tangerines. Arrive at your 19th-century old town hotel in Batumi, a European-style city built as a trade port.

Batumi

Notice how different this is from yesterday's snowy mountains, and learn the legend behind Adjarian Khachapuri, a local dish. The contrasts between mountains and greenery versus seaside make for great photography.
