Itinerary

Frankfurt to Cairo
Your flight from Frankfurt touches down in Cairo, and after you clear immigration, a driver meets you at the airport. From there, it's a transfer to your hotel in the city center where you'll be staying for the next three nights. This gives you a chance to settle in and get oriented with Egypt's capital before starting the tour proper.

Saqqara - Giza
The day starts at Saqqara where you'll see the Step Pyramid, the oldest stone structure in the world dating back around 2,650 BC. After grabbing lunch, you head to Giza to walk around the Pyramids and get up close with the Sphinx. It's a full day of monuments, so you'll feel the history accumulating as the afternoon goes on.

Cairo
This morning focuses on Cairo's museums and historic sites. You'll spend time at the Egyptian Museum looking at pharaonic artifacts, then move through the Islamic Old City to visit the Alabaster Mosque. The Saladin Citadel gives you views over the entire sprawl of Cairo. Later, you wander Khan al-Khalili bazaar before heading to a local family's home for a traditional dinner prepared in their kitchen.

Cairo to Amman
After breakfast, you fly to Amman in Jordan. The transfer from the airport takes you to your hotel, where you'll be based for the next four nights. This sets up your time to explore the ancient Jordanian sites without constantly changing accommodations. You have the evening to rest after travel.

Desert Castles
Amman's Citadel sits high above the city, and you can see for miles from up there. The Roman amphitheater downtown is still used for events today, which gives a sense of how these spaces have endured. You'll grab tea at a traditional place, then head out to the desert castles spread across the landscape. Qasr Amra, Qasr Kharranath, and Qasr Azraq all show early Islamic architecture from centuries back, built when this region was a crossroads between empires.

Mount Nebo - Dead Sea - Amman
The drive to Madaba takes you through the central plateau. The city's known for mosaics, and you'll see Byzantine and Umayyad work, including a famous 16th-century map of Jerusalem made from two million colored stones. Mount Nebo overlooks the Jordan Valley, and the view extends far. You take a cooking class to pick up how locals make traditional Arabic food, then float in the Dead Sea's mineral water before returning to Amman by evening.

Umm Qais
Jerash stands as one of the best-kept Roman cities outside Italy. Walking through it, you pass under triumphal arches and across forums with columns still standing. Umm Qais sits on hillsides overlooking the region, another Greco-Roman site with its own character. A local family hosts lunch where you can eat regional specialties and hear their perspective on the area.

Amman to Petra
The road to Petra winds through desert terrain before arriving at this ancient Nabataean city carved into pink rock. You walk through the Siq, a one-kilometer gorge with walls rising 80 meters on either side. The Treasury building appears as you exit the gorge. Beyond that, over 3,000 rooms have been carved into the sandstone, including an amphitheater, royal tombs, and streets of facades that show how advanced this civilization was.

Petra to Wadi Rum
Wadi Rum's desert landscape shifts your whole experience. Sandstone and granite formations tower around you, glowing red, orange, and yellow depending on the light. You spend about three hours on an off-road tour bouncing through the terrain, then settle at a camp to watch the sun drop behind the rocks. Sleeping under stars here feels different from anywhere else on the trip.

Wadi Rum to Aqaba
Leaving the desert, you travel south to Aqaba on the Red Sea coast. Palm trees line the beaches, and the water looks clear enough to see through. This evening is open, so you can decompress after days of touring ancient sites. The transition from desert to beach town happens in a few hours of driving.

Aqaba
Your last full day here can go different ways depending on what you want. A swim in the Red Sea feels good, or you might check out the local market for crafts and goods. Your hotel room stays available until late evening, so you're not rushed. Then it's a transfer to Aqaba airport for your overnight flight home.
