Arrival in Yaoundé
The Yoko Tours team will meet you at Yaoundé International Airport and drive you to your hotel. Once you've settled into your room, there's dinner followed by a briefing that covers what to expect during your stay. Then it's time to rest up for the journey ahead.

Yaoundé to Somalomo to Dja Reserve
After breakfast, you'll head toward Somalomo with several stops to see how local people live and work along the way. From there, you'll transfer into the Dja Reserve where local guides and shrine guardians will meet you. The day ends at the Baka'a pygmy camp where you'll sleep in tents.

Landmarks/POIs Dja Reserve - Day 3
Baka'a Pygmy Activities
This day focuses entirely on time with the Baka'a pygmies. Following breakfast, you'll walk to the pygmy village for lunch, then join in traditional activities like hunting, fishing, and gathering food. You'll also learn about their use of medicinal plants. As evening comes, the community shares cultural performances, stories, and legends around a fire before another night in tents.

Landmarks/POIs Dja Reserve - Day 4
Dja Reserve to N'Gaoundéré (Overnight Train)
Starting early, you'll spend the morning in the primary forest with the Baka'a doing activities like walking, gathering forest fruits, net hunting, collecting medicinal plants, fishing, and searching for honey. By vehicle, you'll return to Somalomo, then continue on to Yaoundé to catch the overnight train heading to N'Gaoundéré.

Landmarks/POIs Dja Reserve - Day 5
Idole - Tello Falls
You'll arrive at N'Gaoundéré passenger station and get driven to Transcam Hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, you'll head to the village of Idole to meet the traditional Fulani chief, then check out Tello Falls before returning to town for dinner and an overnight stay.

N'Gaoundéré to Poli to Mango
After breakfast in N'Gaoundéré (known as the water tower of Cameroon), you'll drive north to Poli in the Faro department, arriving in time for lunch. The journey then continues to the village of Mango where you'll spend the night in tents with the local Doyo and Dupa people.

Mango to Konle to Rônier Valley
Following breakfast in Mango, you'll travel to the village of Konle to see the traditional forge and watch local craftspeople at work. Then it's on to the Rônier Valley where you'll stay with a Dota or Fulani family for dinner and sleep in tents.

Rônier Valley to Atlantika Mountains
After eating breakfast, you'll head to the Atlantika Mountains for a 2 to 3 hour hike reaching the village of Gode. From there, a vehicle takes you to Wangaï, your starting point for trekking. You'll settle in, have dinner, and spend the night in tents.

Landmarks/POIs Atlantika Mountains - Day 9
Atlantika Mountains Trekking
This is a trekking day through the Atlantika Mountains without a set route, letting you explore villages and meet tribes like the Komas where traditional life remains strong. You might see women smoking pipes or farmers carrying traditional weapons. A river flows through the mountains where swimming is possible if water levels allow. Evenings happen at the Lamido's camp talking with local people. Dinner and overnight in tents.

Atlantika Mountains to Poli
After breakfast, you'll trek through villages meeting the Koma people and learning about their unique cultural traditions and legendary celebrations. This hike takes 5 to 6 hours total. Dinner and the night are spent back in Poli.

Poli to N'Gaoundéré to Yaoundé (Train)
After breakfast, you'll leave for N'Gaoundéré to board the train returning to Yaoundé.

Mefou National Park - Departure
You'll arrive in Yaoundé and check into a hotel. Following hotel breakfast, you'll drive to Mbalmayo with a stop at Mefou National Park, which opened in 1999 through work between MINFOF and the CWAF NGO. The 1,050 hectare park holds rescued primates including gorillas, chimpanzees, and monkeys that were seized, injured, or being readied for release into the wild. After the park visit, you'll head back to Yaoundé and then to the airport for departure.
