Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi to Maasai Mara
You'll leave Nairobi early and head west toward Maasai Mara, stopping first at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to see the escarpment stretch out before you. The drive takes you through changing landscapes, and you'll pause in Narok town for lunch before continuing toward the park. Once you arrive at your lodge and settle in, you'll get an evening game drive to start spotting wildlife before heading to dinner.

Landmarks Great Rift Valley Narok Maasai Mara National Reserve - Day 2
Maasai Mara
This is your full day in Maasai Mara, so you'll be out early and throughout the day looking for the Big Five and whatever else roams the savannah grasslands. The rolling terrain makes for good wildlife spotting, and if you're there between July and September, there's a chance you'll see the wildebeest migration happening. You'll grab a picnic lunch somewhere in the bush and keep driving into the evening, with plenty of time to watch birds and other animals.

Maasai Mara to Nakuru
After breakfast, you'll visit a traditional Maasai village to spend time with the people there and learn about their culture and way of life. From there, you're heading toward Nakuru with a lunch stop at Mai Mahiu along the way. You'll pass Mount Longonot, which gives you nice views of the area before you reach your lodge in Nakuru for the evening.

Landmarks Mount Longonot Lake Nakuru National Park - Day 4
Lake Nakuru
Your game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park starts early, and you'll be looking for the large flocks of flamingos the lake is known for, plus black and white rhinos that live there. Buffalo, hippos, and crocodiles are around too. Baboon Cliff offers wide views out over the lake and you might see baboons moving around. You'll have a picnic lunch during the drive and head back to your lodge by late afternoon.

Hell's Gate National Park to Nairobi
After breakfast, you'll head to Hell's Gate National Park to see the dramatic gorges and rock formations. You can walk and climb through the area to take in the natural landscape up close. If you want more activity, cycling through the park can be arranged. You'll then start your drive back toward Nairobi with a lunch stop somewhere along the route.
