- Angela· September 25th, 2025Mongolia is not a country you can travel without a tour if you want to visit the grasslands and desert outside of the capital city, and this was the perfect length of tour to join as someone who had limited time. Both my driver, Muugii, and my guide, Unu, were phenomenal. Muugii knew every road by heart and was so patient in helping me spot the Takhi wild horse, which were what drew me to Mongolia in the first place. Unu answered all my random questions and made my first solo trip feel not lonely at all. While at first, I struggled staying with a nomadic family with no running water, I enjoyed seeing and experiencing their way of life. Getting to make lamb dumplings with the grandma was very meaningful to me. I love horses and seeing all the horses everywhere truly made my heart happy.Show more
- Elizabeth· July 31st, 2025I found the tour group very easy to communicate with and quick to respond, which I really appreciated. We covered a good amount of Mongolia, and I enjoyed the authenticity of the homestays. My guide was informative and easy to get along with. I especially liked the two tourist ger stays—the first one felt peaceful and genuine, while the second was crowded and a bit too touristy for my taste. There was a lot of time spent in the car, which was tough; my favorite moments were the walks I took on my own, outside the planned itinerary, to experience Mongolia’s natural beauty. Coming from the U.S., it was a bit of an adjustment traveling in a less developed country, especially to remote, off-road locations. I barely slept for five days due to the uncomfortable accommodations and am still dealing with fatigue. I’d suggest adding more evening activities, and offering more to see on the third, fourth, and especially the long fifth day drive back. I really like making dumplings with one of the homestays which I asked to do. Once again I feel like it would be better if we got to actually participate in the nomadic lifestyle. Western travelers should be warned about the bumpy back roads—I was extremely carsick. It was also hard to connect with the people at the homestays, so I sometimes felt isolated. Still, the trip was special: I enjoyed the food, valued the guide’s knowledge and kindness, and loved my solo hikes and temple visits.Show more
- Wayne· July 3rd, 2025We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day tour through the beautiful Mongolian county. Our guide and driver were installed class and provided excellent services and information throughout out trip. We stayed with local nomad families and enjoyed their lifestyle and living arrangements which was 1 of the many highlights of the trip. We especially liked the local cooking and had some great food during these overnight stays. The country side is magnificent and the long daily drives pass by with different scenery at each turn. Thourghly recommended this experience for everyone.Show more

Tour MongoliaOperator•Written September 2024This tour goes through the southern and central parts of Mongolia. Most of the overnight stays will be in Ger (yurt) camp except for a 1-2 nights stay with the local family. Standard non-ensuite Ger with beds and all beddings included in the tour. Traveler•Written May 2024Would it possible to start earlier on august 11th or 10th? We intend to fly out of Mongolia 24th august, so some buffer would be nice and might allows for customisation. Is that possible for this trip? If we want to add a day or 2 to the trip how much extra per person do you think we need?
Tour MongoliaOperator•Written May 2024It is possible to start earlier. If you add one day price is US$230 per person, for 2 days price is 440 per person.

Traveler•Written May 2024Is it possible to customise the tour to spend a couple of days in Khovsgol National Park? If really needed we are open to taking domestic flights that help us shorten travel time and visit more places. Please help find economical deals and discounts. If we take flights do we get the same guide and what's the luggage allowance? To confirm the road travel is 'the Japanese/Korean off-road MPVs such as Mitsubishi Delica/Hyundai Grand Starex' which has air conditioning?
Tour MongoliaOperator•Written May 2024We will send a customized program by the next day. Domestic flights to/from Khuvsgul/Ulaanbaatar will suit best, but we should check availabilities.

Traveler•Written March 2024Are mosquitoes bad in Mongolia in July? Do I need to wear warm clothes in Mongolia in July?
Tour MongoliaOperator•Written April 2024Mosquitoes are not a problem to travel through this route. Of course there will be some, but not that difficult to travel around. You would need a good jacket for rain and wind, but not necessary to bring a winter jacket. It can be a warm flex jacket.
