Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Tromsø
You'll arrive in Tromsø and get settled into your accommodation. Since you're visiting during summer, the midnight sun creates this surreal daylight that lasts around the clock, so you can explore the 'Venice of the North' on your own schedule whenever it suits you. If you want elevated views of the city, fjords, and Arctic landscape, there's an optional cable car up Storsteinen that takes about 15 minutes and gives you a real sense of the geography.

Landmarks Storsteinen Tromsø

This morning you'll walk through Tromsø's colorful rooftops and check out the Arctic Ocean Cathedral, which is pretty distinctive with its modern design. Head to Polaria, the Arctic experience center, where they have information about polar regions and sea life that's actually interesting. Grab a skolebørd (that's a local vanilla bun with coconut) from a café and keep wandering around the city to see what else catches your eye.
