    Bukit Lawang

    An early morning heads you into the wilderness toward Bukit Lawang, a remote area in central Sumatra. After dropping off your bags and eating something, you'll check out the Bat Cave for an evening with these nocturnal animals. Later on you'll head out for dinner, search for good beers and sunset views, then experience your first local night out.

  3. Day 3

    Bukit Lawang

    Starting early, you're off on a rainforest trek where you'll watch for monkeys, tropical birds, and possibly orangutans. Your guide handles lunch preparations right there in the jungle. Once you've refueled, you'll tube down the river and float right back to your hotel's door, which makes for a thrilling way to finish the day.

    Canggu

    Your first full Bali day focuses on temples. You'll see Taman Ayun with its gardens and then Tanah Lot, the famous temple that sits in the sea. In the evening, grab a cocktail or Bintang and watch the sunset. After freshening up, you'll head out dancing.

    Is the age limit a set rule, or suggestion? I'm 55, but toured Africa recently for 70 days camping the whole way w mostly 20 and 30 yr olds.

      We don't have an upper age limit for our tours as such, but, similarly to the tour you've ventured on before, the average ages of those that book onto our tours are between 18 - 35 (those currently booked on are between the ages of 20 - 31).
