Customer Reviews
- Andrzej· June 16th, 2025Overall well organized and smoothly executed tour. The tour guide (referred to as tour director) provided lots of information not only in regards to the destinations but also about life in Portugal in general. Couple of not so great items: 1) Dedicating less than half a day to sightseeing Lisbon is a misunderstanding. Filling the rest of that day with optional, overpriced activities felt like a cash grab. 2) Hotels were very good with one exception - the Double Tree by Hilton hotel in Lisbon was designed for looks but at a great expense of the functionality. The depressing, overwhelming black color made the hallway look like some dystopian futuristic jail. Many tour participants expressed the same/similar opinion. This hotel should be changes for future tours. 3) Calculating and expecting exorbitant (especially for Portugal) tips for the tour guide and the driver left some bad aftertaste.....Show more
- Irene· August 16th, 2025The tour was very well organised and the guide Charlie and driver Stewart were amazing. The accommodation was good. I wish we had spent more time in the smaller towns like Galway and Killarney, rather than Dublin and Belfast.Show more
- Russell· August 13th, 2025The tour was good in its content and itinerary. There was a bit more walking than we expected but we had expected some issues since we both have some disability. The tour director was wonderful and did her best to manage our issues.Show more

Asked on December 31st, 2024Would like to know if I pay the deposit and trip insurance for a particular date and need to cancel, is this refundable? If it isn't refundable, can the amount I paid for this trip be applied as a credit for another trip with Globus, for instance if I decided to reschedule to another date or a different trip with Globus?

Traveler•Written December 2024Is there a bathroom in the coaches? Is there air conditioning in the hotels?
- GlobusOperator•Written December 2024
Our motorcoaches are equipped with an emergency washroom. This facility is not meant to be used regularly in lieu of the restrooms at frequent comfort stops approximately every 2 to 2½ hours. We cannot guarantee air-conditioning at every hotel, but the vast majority of the hotels we contract for this tour have air-conditioning.
- GlobusOperator•Written January 2025
Portugal in Depth with Azores follows a different policy because it includes intra-vacation air. Since the air is ticketed upon deposit, any changes to the tour date will incur penalties.

Asked on January 3rd, 2024Can we go from Azores to Madeira instead of returning to Lisbon? If so, what would the cost difference be?

Traveler•Written January 2024On the Tourradar site for this trip it says $557 extra for internal flights. What are the internal flights?
- GlobusOperator•Written January 2024
We are unable to arrange for you to go to Madeira as this is a set itinerary and unable to be changed. This will need to be arranged by yourself and will be at your own expense. There will be a discount of $70.00 if you decide to finish the trip in Azores and there is no discount provided for the cost of the internal flights.
