Vancouver to Victoria
You'll take the ferry from Vancouver to Victoria this morning, arriving in the capital of British Columbia. Once there, plan to spend a few hours at the Royal BC Museum checking out exhibits, then head over to Butchart Gardens where you can walk the grounds and see the different seasonal displays. Later in the afternoon, stroll along Inner Harbour to catch the Parliament Buildings as they light up. For dinner, you'll find several options along the waterfront with views across the harbor.

Ladysmith - Chemainus - Nanaimo
This morning you're driving to Duncan, known for its totem poles throughout town. The Quw'utsun Cultural Centre gives you a solid introduction to Indigenous heritage and where you'll see some impressive totem carvings. Grab lunch at a local spot, then head to Ladysmith to walk the Heritage Walk and check out the waterfront and older buildings. From there, continue to Chemainus to see the massive murals covering buildings around the village before driving into Nanaimo for the night. You'll have dinner at a seafood restaurant in the Old City Quarter area.

Powell River - Lund - Desolation Sound
You'll drive along the Sunshine Coast this morning, stopping at a couple of beaches and viewpoints as you go. After that, you're boarding BC Ferries for Powell River, which sits between the ocean and forest. Check out the Patricia Theatre, which has been running continuously since the early 1900s, and walk through both the newer and older sections of town. Continue north to Lund at the end of Highway 101. From Lund Resort at Klah Ah Men, you can either take a scenic cruise into Desolation Sound to look for whales and marine wildlife, or catch a water taxi to Savary Island for its white-sand beaches.

Start by exploring Sechelt's various studios and galleries, plus checking out what's on at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre. If you're interested, kayak rentals and guided paddling tours around Sechelt Inlet are available. From there, head to Gibsons to visit the Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives, browse the public market, and see the Nicholas Sonntag Marine Education Centre. Before catching BC Ferries back to Horseshoe Bay and returning to Vancouver, stop at Persephone Brewing Company for a drink.

Lund to Vancouver
Have fresh seafood at one of the local restaurants in Lund overlooking the marina to wrap up your time here. When evening arrives, you'll catch the ferry back to the mainland and head back to Vancouver, finishing your 5-day tour of the coastal region.
