- Eric· September 29th, 2025Andrek was the perfect guide, he was patient and gave a lot of information about Iceland. The stops had the perfect amount of time to view and explore.Show more

- Lisa· October 2nd, 2025This Outlander tour was wonderful. It was booked with Rabbies which was excellent. The group was a group of 15 people which I liked. The bugs driver/ tour guide Lizzie was fantastic. Super sweet and chock full of stories and knowledge. The itinerary and overall organization was good. I felt we did a lot more Outlander heavy stuff on day 1 and day 4 which I loved. In the town of Falkland, we had dinner and further spend much time exploring there and got tons do some photos but that felt a bit rushed and this town I looked forward to see while area small, I wanted to soak in a bit more. We entered all castles with no issues as 99% of them came pre booked or were free to enter with exception of midhope castle. The accommodations provided were both excellent in my opinion. I was very happy where I stayed and had a full Scottish breakfast at both places. During the tour there were plenty of times bathroom breaks and a lunch break. The tour bus was easy to find in Edinburgh with the instructions provided and we were dropped off same location with ease. I highly recommend.Show more

Asked on September 9th, 2024When will we know specific accommodations (hotels) for this trip? How do we arrange for the Flybus to get to 1st hotel upon arrival?
On The Go ToursOperator•Written September 2024Your booking documents will be ready approximately 30 days prior to departure. A Flybus/Reykjavik Excursions airport shuttle is included in your tour package. Transfers are on an individual basis and without a guide. The bus operates in connection with all arriving and departing flights from the Keflavik airport. Once you have cleared immigration and collected your bags, head to the airport exit where buses will be waiting. It may be necessary to change buses at the BSI (central bus station in Reykjavik) depending on your start hotel. Flybus staff are friendly, speak English, and will help with any questions. The Flybus has free Wi-Fi and sometimes USB charging points. It usually takes around 45 minutes to an hour from airport to hotel.

Asked on June 18th, 2024I am trying to decide which of your tours may be the best for potentially seeing the northern lights. I am looking closely at tour 273325 and tour 256325 but I see there are others if there's any way to talk with someone to help me decide, I would appreciate it.
On The Go ToursOperator•Written June 2024While we cannot 100% guarantee you will see the Northern Lights its almost certain travelling between Sept - April so I am sure you will not be disappointed. Please note, all of our tours to Iceland(especially Sept-April) are very popular and as group sizes are small they do tend to sell out many months in advance.
On The Go ToursOperator•Written June 2024The transportation will be in heated coaches with free Wi-Fi on board and the maximum group size on this tour is 16 so its a really intimate which will make your experience in Iceland extra special.

Asked on March 7th, 2024What would be the best month to travel to maximise my chances of seeing the northern lights in Southern Iceland?
On The Go ToursOperator•Written March 2024The best time to see the Northern Lights in Iceland is during the winter, between September and April, when dark and long nights have taken over from the bright summer nights in Iceland. It would be best to plan a trip in winter.

Traveler•Written March 2024What month have you statistically experienced most success for northern lights viewing?
On The Go ToursOperator•Written March 2024September - April is the prime viewing season however to be even more exact, November to February are the very best months, in the depth of winter when there's more hours of darkness. Mid December through to early Jan will have the most hours of darkness.
