Saalfelden
Today you'll cycle through Hohe Tauern National Park with snow-capped peaks surrounding you as you ride. You'll pass through lush green meadows and charming villages, and there's an option to take a swim in Lake Zell if you want a break from cycling. The route takes you by the castle village of Maishofen and Maria Alm with its well-known pilgrimage church before you reach Saalfelden for the evening.

- Day 3
Salzburg
Follow the cycling path along the Saalach river toward the Seisenbergklamm gorge and the Lamprechtshöhle cave near Weißbach. After that, you'll cycle through Lofer where you can see the famous Berger chocolate factory, and later stop in Bad Reichenhall to check out the Reber confectionery. You'll arrive in Salzburg with time to walk through the old town and visit Mozart's birthplace.

Braunau/Simbach
Leave Salzburg and follow the Salzach river out of town toward Oberndorf and the historic Silent Night Chapel. From there, cycle through extensive alluvial forests to Tittmoning, then head on the Lower Inn Nature Experience Trail to Burghausen with its large castle complex. By evening you'll finish in the Gothic town of Braunau or Simbach in Bavaria.

Passau
Start the day watching bird colonies nesting along the riverbank as you cycle. You'll follow the German-Austrian border to Obernberg with its well-known baroque market square, then continue along the Inn river to historic Reichersberg Abbey. Stop in Schärding at the baroque market square before reaching your final destination in Passau, and you might want to end with a river boat tour.
